Veteran mare remains 4lb higher than last win but she is proven in these conditions. Below par of late but she gets a welcome drop in class and could fare better.
Dropping quickly in the weights but he's really been struggling in his last four starts and remains best watched at present.
5lb higher than his sole win on soft ground over this C&D. Headed close home when racing up to his best on the AW latest and open to more progress on this sort of ground. Leading contender.
Infrequent winner but often gets involved and handles this sort of ground. Capable of being involved if at his best but that is hard to predict.
His Beverley novice win is a clear best effort and well below that in his other six starts. Has shown a preference for quick ground and hard to fancy.
Just one win from 32 starts and another who can be hard to predict. Good third on soft ground latest and handles testing conditions. Capable of being involved although hard to be confident in for win purposes.
Sprang a surprise to get off the mark on start number 32 at Hamilton. That along with her third over this C&D three starts back suggests she could have more to offer in testing conditions. Should be competitive.
Seven-race maiden produced a clear best when a 4.5L second on fibresand latest. He'll need plenty more back in handicap company, however this surface could suit.
Won this race in 2016 off 6lb higher but without a success since and that's just three wins from 47 starts now. Handles these conditions but needs to raise his game to be involved.
Won this race last year off 8lb higher, handles some cut in the ground and arrives off the back of three consistent efforts. His run on heavy at Hamilton in August does raise a concern.
Sole win from 32 starts came in a maiden back in 2016. Proving inconsistent this year and while she's capable, she probably needs better ground.
Just two wins from 41 starts with the last coming all the way back in 2015. Last three starts have been very poor and hard to make a case for.
Forecasts
The Grey Zebedee (10/3), Burmese Blazer (5/1), Sambucca Spirit (6/1), Robbian (7/1), Rockley Point (15/2), Astrophysics (9/1), Hawk In The Sky (14/1), Trulove (14/1), Adam's Ale (20/1), Economic Crisis (22/1), Mightaswellsmile (25/1), Raise A Billion (100/1)
Trulove belatedly lost her maiden tag on soft ground latest and it could be that this sort of ground is the key with her. Likewise THE GREY ZEBADEE has shown a preference for testing conditions and was narrowly denied in good effort earlier this month. Burmese Blazer can throw in a poor run but his latest third puts him in the argument.
- The Grey Zebedee
- Trulove
- Burmese Blazer
