Qamka¹³⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: David Egan| T: R Varian| D

6/4

Mastercraftsman filly; ran well behind a couple of useful opponents on debut at Nottingham (1m, soft) and made no mistake when justifying favouritism at Newbury (1m, soft) the following month; of interest on AW debut despite a 134-day absence.

Form: 31

Mosakhar³¹⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-3| J: Ben Robinson| T: Ollie Pears| BF

33/1

Shaped encouragingly over 7f (here) on debut for Roger Varian last December and bettered that effort when making the frame at Lingfield (1m) next time; changed hands for £18,000 in August; debuts for Ollie Pears off a 310-day absence.

Form: 43-

Siena Mia⁴⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 9-1| J: Phil Dennis| T: P A Kirby

40/1

Finished a staying on second (33-1) in a modest fillies' novice median auction at Wolverhampton (7f) in September; whilst she's clearly improving at her own pace, she can be expected to find the likes of Millicent Fawcett and Qamka stronger.

Form: 52

Forecasts

Millicent Fawcett (8/13), Qamka (6/4), Mosakhar (33/1), Siena Mia (40/1), Brickadank (50/1), Berties Mission (100/1)

There's very little recent form with which to evaluate the chief protagonists with Qamka (134 days), MILLICENT FAWCETT (196 days) and Mosakhar (310 days) all returning to action. Qamka is penalised for her June Newbury win, while former stablemate Mosakhar has moved onto pastures new for £18,000. Without the benefit of paddock inspection (helpful in this scenario) we'll elect to side with the John Gosden-trained filly Millicent Fawcett who is the next best thing to a winner without a penalty. The form of her Newbury debut has been boosted since by Hotsy Totsy (third) in the Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot.
