Previous C&D winner who stayed on nicely when third at Kempton last time over this trip. Seems to be holding his form well and has a good overall record at this track (3-11).

Dual 7f Kempton AW winner last winter but has run poorly on both starts there since returning from extended summer break. Appears to be struggling for form and may need more than 2lb drop before scoring again.

Been unlucky this term finishing runner-up on six of her last eight starts including when second at Lingfield 7f last time. Raised 1lb for her troubles but talented apprentice claims 3lb so she should again make her presence felt.

Seven-time sprint winner but yet to convince he stays this trip and his lungs may again be bursting in the closing stages when push comes to shove.

Prominent race who made just about all last time over extended mile at Nottingham to win in brave fashion. 0-15 though on AW so concerns she may be less effective on this surface off 5lb higher mark.

Infrequent scorer who hasn't won beyond 6f and appeared not to stay when stepped up to this trip at Catterick in August. May have chance off this 3lb lower mark though with good apprentice claiming 5lb more.

Yard going well at the moment but this gelding has run poorly on his last two starts and has shown his best form over at least a mile in the past.

Veteran seeking his 13th success but hasn't hit the target since last November when scoring over 6f at Newcastle. Won five at this trip though and has gone close since, but may just find one or two too good.

Last win came in November 2016 off 21lb higher mark. Not seen since proving disappointing well beaten favourite at Southwell in December. Probably better for the run unless market tells a different story.

Eight-race maiden but failed by just a short-head to get off the mark over this trip at Newcastle three starts ago. Beaten favourite both starts since although got no run at all here over C&D last time and may bounce back.

Fair third here last time and is relatively unexposed on this surface. Hard to rule out this six-time turf winner giving a good account of himself in light of his latest effort.

Forecasts

Our Charlie Brown (7/2), Rock Boy Grey (9/2), The Groove (9/2), Chookie Dunedin (7/1), Eponina (7/1), Holiday Magic (11/1), Seprani (11/1), Astrospeed (12/1), Lucky Lodge (14/1), Fast And Furious (16/1), Born To Finish (25/1), Amor Fati (25/1)

Verdict

Plenty here with claims and ROCK BOY GREY is one who is expected to go well having looked unlucky when denied a clear run here last time. His previous two efforts had given cause for optimism. Our Charlie Brown ran a solid race here last time and is respected, along with the consistent mare Seprani, while The Groove is another who should be there or thereabouts in an open affair.
  1. Rock Boy Grey
  2. Seprani
  3. Our Charlie Brown
