Has had a busy year without success. His form lately has been below his best, including on his latest outing when he had just one horse behind him in a seven runner field at Newcastle (1m4½f). Has been eased 2lb but others are preferred.
His last success was in November 2017 at Kempton (1m4f). Went close on his seasonal opener at Kempton (1m4f) when he was second of six. Has been well held on his five starts since then. Others appeal more here.
Has been in excellent form recently, with three wins from his last four starts, including when he prevailed at Newcastle (1m4½f) last time out. Has been raised a further 5lb. Leading contender.
A C&D winner who often produces his best form at this track. Could only come home sixth of eight at Yarmouth (1m6f) on his latest outing. Is off a 1lb lower mark now and drops down in trip. Has each-way claims here.
Is 2-2 on the AW, with his latest win coming at Kempton (1m4f). Could only finish second of three at Yarmouth (1m3½f) last time out when going off as the 5/6 favourite. One to consider on his return to this surface.
Scored twice over 6f early in his career. Was fourth of five last time at Haydock (6f). Has been eased 3lb in the weights but is stepping up significantly in trip now so he does need to prove his stamina.
Has won twice in his last three starts, including over this distance at Newmarket two runs ago. Was disappointing last time as he was at the rear of 13 runners at Goodwood (1m4f). He remains open to improvement. One to consider.
Recorded the third success of his career on his penultimate outing when he came out on top in a six runner field at Windsor (1m3½f). Was unable to follow it up at Goodwood last time where he was last of 13. Needs to bounce back here.
Scored for the second time this year on his latest appearance at Southwell (1m4f). Has gone up 4lb in the weights since his latest victory so he will need to find more this time. One for the shortlist though.
Has fallen down the weights this year following some poor form. He was a little better last time at Chelmsford (1m6f) when he was fifth of 10 runners, beaten by 3¼L Others appeal more here.
Broke his maiden three runs ago at Carlisle (1m3f). Has not followed that up in two starts since, however, he was fourth of 10 on his latest attempt at Ascot (1m4f). Remains off the same mark so he is in with an each-way chance.
Forecasts
Paths Of Glory (15/8), El Misk (7/2), Dubai Tradition (7/2), Asian Angel (9/1), Flaming Marvel (10/1), Yellow Tiger (20/1), Manjaam (20/1), Al Hamdany (25/1), Dunkerron (25/1), Jersey Wonder (33/1), Cosmelli (40/1)
PATHS OF GLORY has had a lot of success in the early stages of his career and he can continue to rise up the weights with another win here as he took to the AW very well last time out at Newcastle. El Misk is unbeaten in two starts of the AW and should be in contention in the closing stages once again on his return to this surface, while Asian Angel has been running well recently and can fill the placings on his bid to follow up from his recent success at Southwell over this distance.
- Paths Of Glory
- El Misk
- Asian Angel
