Won a point-to-point in March and then purchased by current connections for £28,00 at Cheltenham sales the month after; watch the market for support, as local yard do get winners here.

100/1
Winner of a point-to-point last October, but hasn't shown a great deal in two starts for new yard and looks one more for handicaps after today.
Related to a couple of winners, showed plenty of ability on only start at Auteuil in April and looks a very likely type for yard getting into the full swing of things now. Must take high rank.

Hasn't shown a lot in three point-to-point starts so will need a lot more on hurdles debut here. Others readily preferred.
£6,000 purchase at Doncaster sales last year, bred for the job and should do well once seeing a fence, but yard's tend to need the experience on debut and on that, is best watched today.

£70,000 purchase at Doncaster sales this May, that coming after debut bumper win at Kelso; related to numerous classy winners and looks a potentially useful hurdler this season. One of the main protagonists if fit today.

Horse silk
100/1
Bred for the job but last of 11 at Huntingdon on debut in March and faces a stiff task here.

Nothing Man202
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: Lee Edwards| T: David Dennis
66/1
Bred to do well now he sees some obstacles, will want further in time; good debut (for another yard) at Ayr last November but most disappointing on only start for this yard in March, and can only be watched today.

Looked a real galloping type when winning a Ffos Las bumper back in April, that coming off the back of an excellent debut at Newbury; should easily progress this year and if ready to go after summer break, one of the main players here.
£110,000 purchase Aintree sales this spring, runner-up in only point-to-point start (third from that a winner next time, also a point-to-point) and has joined top yard. Another to consider in what could be a hot little race.

Thor De Cerisy219
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: Brendan Powell| T: M Scudamore| D
6/1
Debut winner at Ffos Las last November, and then far from disgraced when highly tried in two Grade 1 bumpers after that, including midfield finish in Champion Bumper; clearly held in some regard and yard get winners here, so of obvious interest.

Horse silk
Emmas Joy197
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-5| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| D
5/2
Winner of a little bumper on Southwell debut last November, didn't really progress as expected, but Huntingdon second in a Listed bumper a good effort; may need more against some totally unexposed types here.

Horse silk

Sister won a bumper, and she too has shown ability on both her starts to date, although had Prudhomme in front of her on debut; interesting to see what market says in relation to her stablemate, Emmas Joy.

Forecasts

Fidelio Vallis (9/4), Emmas Joy (5/2), Prudhomme (7/2), Thor De Cerisy (6/1), Royal Crown (8/1), Holly James (14/1), Donnytwobuckets (14/1), Molly Ollys Wishes (33/1), Frimeur De Lancray (50/1), Fourtout (66/1), Nothing Man (66/1), Brandy Pad (80/1), Donatello Mail (100/1), Maxi Jazz (100/1)

Verdict

In what could prove an informative event, FIDELIO VALIS makes the most appeal for a yard now getting into full swing. Plenty of these French imports win at the first time of asking for the yard, and this could well be another. Thor De Cerisy was highly tried last year but performed with great credit, and could go off a little overpriced here. He can prove a danger, along with Prudhomme, Emmas Joy and the unbeaten Holly James.
  1. Fidelio Vallis
  2. Thor De Cerisy
  3. Prudhomme
