Not beaten far over 6f here two starts back, and built on that when neck second of 8 to Smokey Lane at Leicester last time, making most. Should have the pace to cope with shorter trip in this ground.
Won at Redcar last September, and had a breathing operation prior to penultimate start. Fared better when fourth at Wolverhampton last time, but still finished weakly, and testing ground is a worry for this speedy filly.
C&D winner who is well handicapped on her best form, but rather lost her way last season, and well beaten on both outings this year.
n good form on AW early in the year, and possible that revival at Southwell on penultimate start was down to the surface rather than anything else, especially as she ran badly here last time.
Driven out to land Ripon 5f handicap in June, but just respectable efforts since, and she has something to prove on ground this testing.
Handles heavy going and well handicapped on his best form, so a switch of yard could work the oracle, for all his form for Les Eyre this year has been very patchy.
Good second at Hamilton (5f, soft) last month, but rather laboured since, and well beaten when last tried on heavy ground. Normally makes the running, but started slowly at Southwell last time.
Has shown ability in four starts, but handicapper has taken no chances with his opening mark, so needs to improve now fitted with a visor for the first time.
Good second in a heavy ground C&D handicap in August, and still in form based on latest fourth at Brighton. Sure to give a good account with conditions very much in his favour.
Remains a maiden, and was below form when fourth of 6 at Ffos Las on her latest start. Others expected to have her measure again.
Five time winner most recently over 5f at Doncaster (good) in July. Well below that form since, however, and no sign of an upturn when last seen at Redcar.
Won a 6f handicap in heavy ground here in June, and scored again at Catterick over that trip last month. Not discredited since, and fair claims back on testing turf with strong pace likely.
C&D winner who was back on the scoresheet at Southwell in January. Recent efforts nowhere near as encouraging, however, and ran a stinker at Bath last time.
Runner-up over 6f at Salisbury in August, but followed that with a poor run at Newcastle, and while that can be overlooked, others have more pressing claims on balance.
Just a poor handicapper these days, and make no appeal from out of the weights in this contest.
One or two respectable efforts this year, but she is regressive in truth, and has struggled more often than not.
Seems of no account, and doubtful if a visor can make any difference. Effectively 26lb out of the handicap if true mark taken into account.
Forecasts
Zapper Cass (11/8), Valentino Sunrise (4/1), Van Gerwen (15/2), Ebitda (14/1), Carlovian (14/1), Guardia Svizzera (14/1), Skeetah (16/1), The Golden Cue (16/1), Honey Gg (16/1), Ginvincible (16/1), Maid From The Mist (20/1), Angel Force (25/1), Robbian (50/1), Point Of Woods (50/1), George Thomas (50/1), Glyder (66/1), Hellofagame (80/1)
ZAPPER CASS was clear of the third at Leicester the other day, and while 5f is a minimum, he showed enough dash there to suggest he could take care of this modest bunch. Carlovian could offer some value back at the scene of his heavy-ground win in May, although Valentino Sunrise is a bigger threat on recent evidence.
- Zapper Cass
- Valentino Sunrise
- Carlovian
