Solid winner on his debut at Chelmsford and bettered that when maintaining unbeaten record at that track with 2L stylish success (7f). Suspect he is highly better than this company.
Smart winner of Windsor nursery three starts ago but hung left badly on most recent start when fourth in 1m Lingfield nursery earlier this month. Needs a bit more off current mark.
Belatedly off the mark in 7f nursery at this track two starts ago but found class 2 nursery too hot to handle when seventh at Newbury (7f) last time out. Has less on his plate in this so enters calculations.
Defied greenness to win at Haydock on penultimate start and respectfully off tough opening mark on handicap debut at Ayr (1m) last month. 2lb in the weights could help his cause.
Remains a maiden after six starts despite some promising efforts in defeat but put in regressive performance when last of eight at Lingfield (1m) earlier this month. Looks exposed and more needed.
Off the mark at the seventh attempt at Bath two starts ago but struggled off revised mark when ninth in 1m Ayr nursery. Dropped 2lb in the weights but even that requires a career-best.
Had shown promise in each start to date and was denied a clear effort when close seventh at Lingfield (1m) earlier this month. Can't be discounted but will still need to improve.
Experienced filly. Twice a runner-up in June and bounced back nicely when getting off the mark at Yarmouth (7f) in mid-September. Has to defy a 5lb for that victory in this.
Forecasts
Atheeb (5/2), Cobber Kain (10/3), Incinerator (4/1), Cheat (13/2), Impatient (7/1), Forbidden Land (14/1), Blausee (16/1), Top Buck (20/1)
COBBER KAIN has done nothing but impress in his two starts to date, and the manner of his victory at Chelmsford last time out suggests that he may be a late developer and looks to have a class edge about him. Atheeb raced as if his previous mark was too high for his debut in this company and may be suited with his drop in the weights, while Cheat has less on his plate in this contest and Impatient could be a dark horse based on his troubled effort at Lingfield last time out.
- Cobber Kain
