Set to race from 13lb below her last winning mark but only raced here twice and yet to recapture her best since the filly joined her current yard. This is a weak race but others make more appeal on these terms.
Placed five times from 38 previous starts but is yet to get her head in front when it really matters and her tendency to down tools is an off-putting trait. The wide draw is also a negative. Needs a lot to go her way.
Best efforts this season came on the undulating surface at Catterick in the summer but the filly has lost her way a tad since; was beaten 8¼L when fourth at Chester latest but possible the extended 7f trip was to blame. Better chance back at 6f.
Wears blinkers for the first time after showing regressive form since her return to racing in August. Plenty to prove on Tapeta debut.
Faced better opposition of late and been well held as a result. This is an ease in grade and the gelding gets bonus points for decent previous form on a Tapeta surface (posted when with Richard Fahey); worth a betting check.
Won over 5f here on second career start for her former trainer (Simon Crisford) but it's been a slow grind since that early promise. Would have claims at this level on the pick of her form but the widest draw is a big stumbling block this evening.
Still a maiden but has ability and could be effective at this level. Possible the slow ground at Bath blunted her challenge last time and not much to find to bounce back in this weaker company. The rider's 3lb claim an added boost at the weights.
New trainer is renowned for revitalising others cast-offs and it's interesting to note the filly is back over a more appropriate trip than she raced over last time. She has experience of the Tapeta surface and could easily hit the frame if on song.
Solitary career win came on the turf course at Lingfield (5f, good to firm) when with David Evans last July but the filly has been in a steady decline since joining her current yard. Hard to recommend as one to follow just now.
Occasionally fluffed his lines at the start but has the ability to figure at this level and will be involved in the action if building on his last two starts. Unexposed at the trip and well worth considering. The market can guide on Tapeta debut.
Made all for a gritty win at Carlisle in July and not disgraced in three starts since (holds Isabella Ruby on a literal reading of his latest outing). Has gone well at this course before and is more attuned to racing over 6f these days. Good chance.
0-20 and more miss than hit so far. Best effort was posted when second of 11 over 5f at this course (had Sharrabang 2½L adrift at the line) in April; reverted to type since, though. Opposable on grounds of inconsistency.

Sharrabang (2/1), Obsession For Gold (3/1), Griggy (3/1), Molly Blake (8/1), Alba Del Sole (14/1), Moneta (18/1), Isabella Ruby (20/1), Penwood (20/1), Blackcurrent (20/1), Hanati (28/1), North Korea (50/1), Wye Bother (50/1), Celerity (66/1)
Several hold claims and this is still a competitive affair despite it being a weak race on face value (Gritty, the top-rated horse, is currently on a mark of just 55). The likes of: Moneta, Griggy, and Obsession For Gold are all capable of holding their own at this level and are worth checking out in the betting. However, a chance is taken on SHARRABANG taking another step forward after holding his form well since his win at Carlisle (7f, good to firm) in July and he is forwarded as a live contender back over six furlongs. Wye Brother finished ahead of the selection here in April but was put back in her place when they met again the following month.
- Sharrabang
- Moneta
- Griggy
