Ask gelding; half-brother to the bumper/hurdles winner Jeremy's Flame; in rear (ninth of 11) in a bumper at Clonmel (2m+ yielding) last week; hurdles debut.
Much better when a surprise 25-1 runner-up to Raashdy in a 2m maiden hurdle here (good) last month; should stay this extra yardage on the basis of his pedigree; chance.
Didn't manage to make the frame in three attempts in point-to-points (all at 3m) for Sean Thomas Doyle; makes his rules debut at a realistic level for Lucinda Russell.
Kayf Tara gelding out of the 2m3f winning hurdler Megalex; brother to six winners, including Ballyandy, Megasue and Megastar; very much one to consider with Nico De Boinville in the saddle.
Placed in a Musselburgh bumper (well beaten) for James Ewart last November; is difficult to consider as a realistic contender on debut for a new yard - his second start over hurdles.
With Gordon Elliott when runner-up in a Tramore maiden (2m, heavy) in April 2018; lost his way fractionally thereafter; returns to action from a 429-day absence for a new trainer; a watching brief only.
Black Sam Bellamy gelding out of a mare who was a half-sister to the dual-purpose scorer Rouge Et Noir; never involved when seventh of 13 (22-1) in a 2m bumper here in April; hurdles debut.
Winning pointer (3m, Dromahane); joined the borders trainer Sandy Thomson for £10,000 in May 2019; is worth keeping a close eye upon with the future (rather than today) in mind.
Oscar gelding who makes the journey across the Irish Sea for a trainer that has saddled plenty of previous Hexham winners; that said; it's considered unlikely that this somewhat enigmatic 7yo will be adding to that tally.
Bought for £53,000 at the Cheltenham sale in April 2019 after winning on debut at Guilsborough (3m, good); has some very useful relations, which include Idle Talk, Smart Talk and the stamina-laden chaser Belon Gale; of interest.
A mare with stacks of experience in Irish point-to-points (a 13-race maiden); is a half-sister to the bumper/2m-2m4f winning hurdler Girly Girl; needs to show marked improvement on rules debut for Newcastle-based trainer Kenny Johnson.

Le Grand Fromage (5/4), Darry Desbois (3/1), The Ferry Master (9/2), New Frontier (5/1), Whateva Next (12/1), Destiny Is All (18/1), Teescomponentstrig (20/1), Beneficial Quest (20/1), Sometimes A Fox (25/1), Time For An Oscar (100/1), Look Now (100/1), On We Go (200/1)
An interesting opener in which Darry Desbois brings recent course form (2m) to the table. However, a trio of newcomers catch the eye with LE GRAND FROMAGE, Whateva Next and New Frontier all expected to prove capable of winning races. Whateva Next is a well-related four-year-old who made a winning start in a point-to-point before switching to George Bewley for £53,000. Meanwhile, the Keith Dalgleish charge has already undergone wind surgery and is bred for chasing long-term. However, with Nico De Boinville travelling north, the Tom Lacey-trained son of Kayf Tara (a brother to Ballyandy) makes most appeal.
