An interesting opener in which Darry Desbois brings recent course form (2m) to the table. However, a trio of newcomers catch the eye with LE GRAND FROMAGE, Whateva Next and New Frontier all expected to prove capable of winning races. Whateva Next is a well-related four-year-old who made a winning start in a point-to-point before switching to George Bewley for £53,000. Meanwhile, the Keith Dalgleish charge has already undergone wind surgery and is bred for chasing long-term. However, with Nico De Boinville travelling north, the Tom Lacey-trained son of Kayf Tara (a brother to Ballyandy) makes most appeal.
