By Hot Streak out of a Refuse To Bend mare. Dam 6f-8½f winner, half-sister to Listed-placed Italian 7f-1m winner An Jolie. Ran well on sole start when last seen in March finishing fourth behind Red Epaulette on only start for trainer Nigel Thomas.
$140,000 foal, Kitten's Joy colt. Dam, unraced, closely related to useful US winner up to 1m1f Tiger Walk. Failed to build on promising debut when finishing last of 10 after losing a shoe at Listowel in June. Can be forgiven that run.
Gelding by Footstepsinthesand out of a Rahy mare. Dam winner of three of her 13 starts on the Flat between 1m and 1m2f. Yards newcomers often come on for first run.
Dream Ahead gelding out of a Manduro mare. Dam winner on turf and the AW between 7f and 1m3f. Possibly best watched on debut unless market vibes suggest otherwise.
Colt By Born To Sea out of a Cadeaux Genereux mare. Cost €2,000 as a yearling. Promising second of 16 beaten 1¾L in a Fairyhouse 6f maiden on debut last month. Jockey booking a major positive.
£140,000 yearling purchase. Starspangledbanner colt who is closely related to 7f winner Boom Star. Slowly away on debut in a Naas 6f maiden on good ground last month. More needed.
Colt by Zebedee out of a Strategic Prince mare. Closely related to winner on the AW at Dundalk over 6f That's Not Me. Dam three-time winner over 7f. Unlikely to be a good sign making debut in first-time cheekpieces.
Colt by Outstrip. Dam nine-race maiden on the Flat. Nearer last than first on disappointing debut in a Curragh 29-runner maiden before finishing last of 16 over 6f at Fairyhouse last month. Hard to make a case for.
Gelding by Ivawood out of a Stravinsky mare. Closely related to multiple winner Danish Duke, successful handicapper between 6f/7f and sprint winners I Am Power and Jaarih. Market check on debut.
Gelding by Most improved out of a Titus Livius mare. Dam winner of one of her seven career starts in France, successful over 5f. Yards debutante's often need their first run.
Colt by Bungle Inthejungle out of a Windsor Knot mare. Never a factor on racecourse debut at Bellewstown before finishing down the field at Dundalk on the AW last month. Vast improvement needed.
Colt by Power out of a Shirocco mare. Dam, 10-race maiden on the Flat, AW and over hurdles. Co Cavan yard without a winner from 25 starters this term.
Anjaal newcomer a half-brother to five winners who all excelled over trips short of 1m. Well held on both career starts so far and a good chance handicaps will suit in future.
Colt by Make Believe out of a Invincible Spirit mare. Closely related to multiple winner on the Flat, Canny Style successful between 1m3f and 1m5f, also winning hurdler. Dam winner of one of her seven starts on the Flat at 7f.
Improved from first run to second when finishing fourth of 10 beaten 4¼L behind Chrysalism on good ground before running a disappointing 15th of 23 at the Curragh last month over 1m. Big drop in trip here and appears opposable again.
Daughter of Camacho out of a Halling mare. Dam 55-rated six-race maiden. Co Meath yard struggling with their juveniles this term, without success in 14 starts.
Filly by Sir Prancealot out of a Viking Ruler mare. Closely related to multiple winner Lady Rosebud successful between 7f and 1m. All wins coming on the AW at Dundalk. Likely to be better over further.
Daughter of Sir Prancealot out of a Dubawi mare. Dam was a maiden, half-sister to smart 1m winner Pincheck. Down the field on both career starts to date and needs to improve significantly here.
Daughter of Droagon Pulse out of a Acclamation mare. Dam won between 7f and 1m. Last of seven on debut in a Galway 7f maiden on soft ground last month. Looks a tall order on second start.
Kyllachy filly out of a Danehill mare. No impression from 1f out on debut in a Curragh 6f maiden, eventually finishing seventh of eight beaten 16L. No surprise to witness improvement here.
Daughter of Tough As Nails out of a Kodiac mare. Dam, eight-race maiden on the Flat, poor 50-rated handicapper on the AW at Dundalk. Looks a future prospect.
Forecasts
Flaming Moon (11/10), King Of Stars (4/1), Power Over Me (7/1), Ballyare (10/1), Talking Tough (14/1), Britannia Kitten (16/1), So Suave (20/1), Distant Vista (20/1), Sophelanka (20/1), Earls (33/1), Shona Mea (33/1), Royal Bungle (40/1), Crack On Rosie (50/1), Miss Cunning (50/1), Wish You Well (50/1), Sams Got The Power (50/1), Overtake (66/1), Shadhavar (66/1), Rodney Bay (66/1), Camakey (66/1), Monsieur Pierre (66/1)
The Dermot Weld-trained BRITANNIA KITTEN can be forgiven his last run in June when losing a shoe and build on his promising debut run in a Leopardstown 7f maiden. The youngster runs for the first time as a gelding and can land the opening contest ahead of the Matthew Smith-trained Flaming Moon who shaped with plenty of promise on debut in a Fairyhouse maiden over 6f last month. Of the newcomers, Power Over Me for the Michael O'Callaghan yard could be of interest while the Johnny Murtagh pair of Distant Vista and So Suave should not be underestimated.
- Britannia Kitten
- Flaming Moon
- So Suave
