Only just failed to make the trip to Germany worthwhile when second at Baden-Baden (1m; good) in May. Not seen since then, but is without doubt the one to beat in this contest. Two-time listed winner, and won a Group 3 at Leopardstown back in April.

Not straightforward but gained first victory for this stable at the third attempt when successful at Gowran Park (1m; soft) last month. Little bit to find on ratings, but he is lightly raced for a five-year-old. Has broke blood vessels in the past.

Won this contest back in 2017, but has been struggling for form this season. Not disgraced when sixth in this grade at Cork (1m; yielding to soft), but a fair deal of improvement would be required from that effort if he were to win this.

One of a few in here stepping back into 'Listed' company after contesting handicaps of late. Losing run is beginning to mount up, and he would need to step up on the bare form of his previous two starts.

Steps up in class after faring well in competitive handicaps of late. Up 4lb for latest third at the Curragh (1m2f; good to firm), and needs to find some improvement if he is to play any sort of role.

Intriguing runner for English yard with their first ever runner at this track. Not yet fully exposed, and latest run was a step back in the right direction when a narrow runner-up to Qaysar at Haydock (7f; soft). On the shortlist.

Latest effort can be forgiven when he failed to make any impression in the Irish Cambridgeshire at the Curragh (1m; good to yielding). Posted an encouraging effort before then, but he is a hard sort to catch right.

Posted better effort than her finishing position suggests when midfield in a typically competitive handicap at York (7f; good) last month. In consistent form prior to that in handicaps, but this represents a step up in class. Little bit to prove.

Ran to a similar level on each of his last three starts, finishing in midfield each time in Listed/Group 3 company. One of the more exposed sorts in this contest, and she is unlikely to cause the leading contenders too much trouble.

Only had the three runs this year, and has been fairly disappointing on the face of it. However, she would hold major claims if back to the form of her Group 3 success over C&D. Not totally ruled out.

Beaten a neck in a good quality handicap at Leopardstown (7f; good) last month, and finished in front of Chocolate Music three starts ago when second at Cork (7f; good). Not a certainty to confirm that form though.

Tends to come up just short at this level, but holds decent place claims after finishing third behind Flight Risk at Cork (7f; good) in this grade when last seen. Yard form is a big worry though (1-33 in last 14 days).

Forecasts

Imaging (7/4), Yulong Gold Fairy (5/1), Saltonstall (8/1), Psychedelic Funk (10/1), Black Magic Woman (10/1), Bowerman (12/1), Dubai Dominion (12/1), Crafty Madam (16/1), Wisdom Mind (16/1), On A Session (16/1), Quizical (22/1), Chocolate Music (50/1)

Verdict

A good turnout for this Group 3 contest, and after recording his first win for his new stable, Bowerman is likely to have a significant part to play in this contest. Despite not being the easiest to train, he has always been thought capable of making his presence felt at this level. It is interesting that Ed Vaughan sends Dubai Dominion over, and there were more positive signs recently when he was a narrow second on soft ground at Haydock. We'll stick with the proven one at this level though, in the form of IMAGING who has been off since May, but did win his first Group 3 at the start of the season, and is comfortably clear of his rivals on official ratings.
