Won over C&D in August, but that came on his preferred sound surface, and he was disappointing on soft ground at Thirsk prior to that. Not discredited of late, but others preferred on balance.
Soft-ground winner at Doncaster (7f) in August and just as good when a close fourth of 10 to Give It Some Teddy over C&D last time. Likely to be thereabouts again, and one to consider.
Latest win at Ascot in July, and better that form when 1½L second of 10 to Give It Some Teddy over C&D last time. Sound claims on that, and ran well enough on soft at Thirsk in between.
Won Thirsk Hunt Cup in May from Commander Han, but struggled subsequently. Hinted at a revival when sixth to Give It Some Teddy here last time, but needs to build on that again.
Won this race 12 months ago. Scored here in April, and back to his best when landing a C&D handicap on latest start, beating several of today's rivals. Handles good to soft, but slight concern that he has been below form on more testing ground.
Sole win came on fast ground at Pontefract in May. Ran respectably in a couple of tries on soft in the summer, and slowly away when below form at York last time. Not a forlorn hope.
Best effort in a while when winning off a 3lb lower mark at Newmarket (1m, good/soft) in August. Below form last time, but capable of bouncing back if in the mood.
AW winner in January, and his best turf efforts have come on heavy ground. Well below form last time, but seemed to resent a visor, and not without a chance with headgear abandoned.
Has run creditably on his last three starts on easy ground at this trip without having any excuses, and while he should cope with softer ground, he's being asked to do more from out of the handicap here.
Gained first career win at Beverley in August, and went close again there next time. Not at best since, and visor tried now, so has work to do from 3lb out of handicap.

Star Shield (10/3), Give It Some Teddy (7/2), Breanski (4/1), Kripke (7/1), Zip (9/1), Algaffaal (10/1), Universal Gleam (11/1), One To Go (14/1), Hayadh (16/1), Creek Island (20/1), Irv (20/1), Calvados Spirit (50/1)
Give It Some Teddy loves it here and obvious claims of following up last year's win. A slight concern is that he's not been at his best in testing ground before, so preference is for BREANSKI, who wasn't far behind him here last time, and is a soft-ground winner this term. Star Shield split that pair over C&D on his latest start, and is another to put in the mix.
