Lone newcomer makes a very belated debut. Son of Observatory out of a tough 1m4f winner is best watched.
100/1 and never a factor on debut at Salisbury over this trip a couple of weeks ago. Remains one to watch only.
No match for an odds-on Mark Johnston trained previous winner now rated 100 on debut but his second there at Bath nevertheless was promising and he is now a leading contender.
Sixth of seven at Ascot and seventh of 11 at Salisbury so far suggest this gelding the sort to be better suited by handicaps after today.
Well beaten third over 1m½f here in handicap company latest off a mark of 75. Looks too high for such races so probably fare better here but may again find one or two too strong.
Only beaten one rival so far in two races and beaten a total of 29L in them which relegates him to the best avoided list.
Second albeit beaten 8L at Salisbury after showing some promise earlier when fourth at Ffos Las. On the shortlist in a weak race.
Forecasts
Edinburgh Castle (5/4), Roving Mission (5/4), Memphis Bleek (6/1), Manucci (14/1), Shattering (33/1), Big Bang (33/1), Dereham (50/1)
This looks an excellent opportunity for EDINBURGH CASTLE who finished second on debut to a smart sort and that form looks standout in this race. Roving Mission is preferred to Memphis Bleek and on all known form the duo should be the other place getters.
- Edinburgh Castle
- Roving Mission
- Memphis Bleek
