Dual 2yo winner (smart form); lightly campaigned this year but has shown on a couple of occasions he retains his ability. Race may have come too soon last time (previous starts this year well-spaced); drops in class in a first-time visor.
Form has dropped away a little since he completed a four-timer earlier in the year on turf/AW (last win came off a 10lb lower mark). Fared a little better than of late when fourth last time but it may well be that the assessor is now in control.
Successful on his first two starts for the yard after being claimed when winning a seller for his former yard (Richard Hannon). One run apart he looks to have gone off the boil since his last win; back to 5f but this mark requires a little more.
Staged a resurgence this summer with his best performance coming at Ayr in June with a 5f win off a 6lb lower mark. Not been able to hit the same heights since off stiffer marks; did take a step back in the right direction last time (travelled well).
Stepped up on his Naas maiden (5f, good) win for his former yard straight away for his current connections with a C&D win. Highly tried straight after to no avail; appeared a lot more comfortable in this grade last time (second to Four Wheel Drive).
Dual C&D winner off lower marks earlier in the year he has proved himself capable in this grade. Form rather tailed off after his last win (at Chester); now returns after a short break which may well have refreshed him.
Ought to be capable in this grade but not the most reliable sort these days with his latest three starts underlining that fact. Headgear worn earlier in his career now returns as he drops back to 5f for the first time since midsummer; hard to endorse
Losing run is starting to approach worrying levels; did no better for a seven-week break when returning at Pontefract earlier this week. Faded badly in the closing stages on that occasion; not hard to overlook in this class/grade.

Forecasts
Count D'Orsay (10/3), Lathom (5/1), Broken Spear (11/2), Canford Bay (6/1), Dapper Man (6/1), Four Wheel Drive (6/1), Captain Colby (7/1), Tomily (8/1), Henley (12/1), Our Little Pony (12/1)
Quite a few of these have been in good form earlier in the year with the likes of Dapper Man, Tomily and Four Wheel Drive all racking up wins in a sequence although they are paying for those wins now with the handicapper having them where he wants them. Broken Spear dropping in grade in a first-time visor should be noted if there is a market move, Lathom would be of interest if he could regain his summer form. Our Little Pony is one of the principals given her liking for this scenario and it’s not hard to see her in the mix with anymore rain unlikely to hamper her chance. COUNT D'ORSAY second last time finished that race in eye-catching style and he’s taken to go one better now.
- Count D'Orsay
- Our Little Pony
