Has been generally consistent despite throwing in the odd blip and bounced back in style with good victory at Salisbury (6f, good) last time. Only raised 2lb for that so has to be considered.
Three-time winner last season but has been knocking at the door this year, including second behind Belated Breath at Salisbury earlier this month. 2lb better off with that rival in this contest.
Doncaster handicap winner last year but looks to be out of sorts this season. Well beaten in Listed race at York (6f) last time and showing increasing signs that she hasn't trained on.
Dual winner earlier in the season and came back to form in last two starts, including short head defeat at Haydock (7f) in early September. Respected and holds solid place claims.
Rattled up a hat-trick between July and August and showed enough to suggest she is capable off her current mark with 1L second at Pontefract (6f) a week ago. Can't be discounted.
Had found life tough in open handicap company but took a step in the right direction with game success in 5f three-year-old handicap at Bath last time. Confidence has been boosted but this is tougher.
Typically runs to her mark and rewarded for consistency with stylish success at Yarmouth (6f) earlier this month. Slight improvement needed on that however in a deeper contest.
Thrived off a strong gallop and had race run to suit when notching 6f Pontefract success eight days ago, beating Gale Force Maya in the process. Still has a weight pull with that rival so commands respect.
Dual winner in novice company this season and ran with credit on handicap debut when second of four at Lingfield (6f, good to firm) 12 days ago. That looked a weak race though so more is needed.
Switch to handicap company and wind surgery seemed to do the trick with victories at Kempton and Windsor before tough penalty bogged her down when third over 6f at Kempton last time. Has the scope to improve though.
Twice a winner in minor company this season but generally well held this summer, including 7L second in York handicap (5f) last time. Others make more appeal.
Consistent filly who took advantage of leniency in the weights with success at Brighton (6f) on latest start. Struggled off this mark previously so a career-best is required.
Forecasts
Gale Force Maya (4/1), Chil Chil (9/2), Molls Memory (5/1), Lady Of Aran (6/1), Belated Breath (7/1), Goodnight Girl (9/1), Restless Rose (12/1), Whisper Aloud (14/1), Lethal Angel (20/1), Stay Classy (25/1), Irene May (28/1), Lady Calcaria (33/1)
A strong-looking fillies' handicap, preference is for MOLLS MEMORY, who has done nothing but progress this season and enhanced her profile despite her defeat last time out. This 6f test should be tailor-made for her to get her head back in front. Belated Breath may have to contend with top weight but still looks to be given some leniency by the handicapper and her reposing rival Goodnight Girl, who has a likeable weight pull, can both contend for the places based on their Salisbury efforts.
- Molls Memory
- Belated Breath
- Goodnight Girl
