Struggled in recent starts and handicap mark is falling as a result. Market support would be notable racing off a mark 13lb lower than for his most recent victory.

Victorious three times here in the spring including twice over this C&D. Promising fifth in a 1m2f handicap at Leicester (good-to-firm) earlier this month on his return from a break and he is one to note on his return to this venue.

Promising 2L fourth in a 7f handicap at Kempton when debuting for this stable just over a fortnight ago. Interesting runner stepping up in distance with a top jockey booked to ride.

Returned from a break with a short-head victory in a 1m handicap at Bath (good) last time out. Raised 3lb for that success and is a notable runner in this contest.

Dual AW including over C&D in February. Three decent efforts in defeat over this trip at Kempton since returning from a break and he races off a mark 3lb lower than for his latest success.

Signs of ability when fourth in a 1m2f maiden at Salisbury (good-to-firm) in June. Below that form at Goodwood (1m2f, good-to-firm) earlier this month on only subsequent start. Drawn wide down in trip on handicap debut.

Nine race maiden finished a decent 3½L fourth in a 1m2f handicap here just over a month ago. Lost a shoe that day and interesting to see how he fares dropping in distance.

Maiden after six starts and ran well when third in a handicap over an extended 7f at Lingfield (soft) on his penultimate start. Disappointed over the same C&D subsequently and is making his debut on this surface.

Fair sixth in a handicap over an extended 1m4f at Newcastle earlier this month. Drops markedly in distance and any market support would be notable.

18 race maiden finished a good second in a handicap over this C&D last time week. Races off the same mark here and is an interesting contender in this event.

Verdict

COMPASS POINT showed good form at this track earlier in the year and he can register a victory on his second start back from a break. The selection looks capable of getting the better of Jack Berry House who showed promise when running well over shorter at Kempton on his most recent appearance while third place can go to Pearl Spectre who is very well handicapped on his old form.
