Emulated his dam by making a winning debut over 6f when landing the odds on Wolverhampton debut earlier in the month. Wasn't troubled to beat a pair with experience with a bit in hand and of obvious interest despite his penalty.
Big prices on both starts but took a small step forward from debut when 5L sixth of eight at Brighton last month and that form has received a couple of minor boosts. May have a bit more to come.
28/1 on recent 6f Ascot debut but defied expectations when doing best of the newcomers when 2L fourth of 16. Showed signs of greenness but put in plenty of good work late on and with normal improvement should play a leading role.
Beat just one rival in 12 runner good ground maiden at Windsor in June and off the track since. Needs to improve a good deal to figure after absence.
Attracted support on Leicester 6f debut on heavy ground in July and showed ability when staying on to finish 5L third of eight. Half-brother won on the AW so surface should be fine and entitled to come on for that run.
Has shown a modicum of ability in pair of turf maidens at this trip and could be capable of better but nurseries after this more likely to provide her with better options.
Well supported both starts on turf but has failed to justify that confidence and her 15L fifth of seven on latest run at Chepstow was a disappointment. Clearly thought capable of better but bit to prove for now.
Has been beaten just a solitary rival in pair of maidens at huge prices and first time cheek pieces needs to bring about dramatic improvement.
First foal of a dam who won twice at 1m as a three-year-old for this owner. Stable 9-72 with their juveniles this season and market should prove a guide on debut.
Third on both runs to date over 7f showing improvement when beaten 5L at Chelmsford on latest. Now drops down in trip and wouldn't need to improve much to feature if the drop isn't a problem.
Forecasts
Desert Safari (6/5), Qasbaz (11/4), Autumn Trail (7/1), Sterling Stamp (8/1), Wailea Nights (12/1), Twelve Diamonds (20/1), Inevitable Outcome (20/1), Just May (25/1), Lady Florence (66/1), Hootenanny (66/1)
DESERT SAFARI was clearly expected to win on debut at Wolverhampton and never looked in any real danger and that form just about sets the standard even before any improvement is factored in.. Qasbaz shaped with plenty of promise at Ascot recently and a repeat of that will make him a threat while if the drop in trip isn't a problem Wailea Nights can fill the minor role for the third time in as many starts.
- Desert Safari
- Qasbaz
- Wailea Nights
