Definite promise about his second start when third of nine over 6f at Salisbury having challenged until the last 100 yards. Step back to 5f may well suit and looks a leading player now with possible rain not likely an issue.
Veteran of five starts was well beaten in a handicap at Thirsk off a mark of 51 last week and such an effort makes him hard to fancy over this new trip.
Only beaten 1L into fourth over C&D on debut but found a warmer looking Ascot contest next more problematic. Course experience has to be a plus and in this quite weak looking contest he ought to be competitive again.
Twice placed in four starts but well held in a Ripon nursery off a mark of 60 when last seen in mid July. Gelded since so could find extra now and wouldn't have to improve greatly here.
Failed to get competitive at any stage in first two races at Catterick and here so hard to find any real reasons to be positive at this point.
Slade Power colt beaten 12L into fourth at Wolverhampton on recent debut. Slow start didn't help there and would expect better now although others are more compelling.
Quite well fancied and duly ran well to finish second of nine on debut at Redcar just a week ago. That as good form as any here and most who have achieved as much have done so in two races so he is open to most improvement.
Not disgraced in midfield C&D debut last month and certainly should take a step forward with the experience under her belt. Each-way possibilities.
Lone newcomer is a son of Mukhadram who cost 16,000gns as a yearling. All of her three previous siblings won races so merits respect and market support would be significant for yard which has occasional two-year-old winners.
Forecasts
Rebel Soldier Boy (10/11), Able Kane (9/2), Capla Spirit (5/1), Secret Diary (8/1), Knock Knock (12/1), Dancinginthesand (20/1), Bella Figlia (33/1), Deevious Beau (50/1), Bosun's Chair (66/1)
Not the strongest autumn novice race and it looks a pretty good opportunity for REBEL SOLDIER BOY to go one better than his debut second at the Redcar for the prolific David O'Meara team. Also with pretty sound claims are Able Kane who ran well latest without possibly quite lasting out 6f and experienced Dancinginthesand who has made the frame twice in four starts.
- Rebel Soldier Boy
- Able Kane
- Dancinginthesand
