Beaten a minimum of 12L in three 7f turf starts most recently at Leicester (7f, good) a month ago. Others hold stronger claims stepping up in trip on handicap debut.

Registered a first placed effort when finishing runner-up in a 1m handicap at Chelmsford last time out. Raised 4lb for that effort and interesting to see how she fares in this contest.

Struggled in three starts in novice/maiden company including when 15L eighth over 7f at Chelmsford earlier this month. Worth a check in the market on handicap debut for a stable with a 24% strike-rate (7/29) in recent weeks.

Not gone on from a promising 6¼L sixth in a 6f novice race at Windsor (good-to-firm) when debuting in July. Well beaten over 7f the last twice and has to prove her stamina stepping up in trip on handicap debut.

Best effort since switched to handicaps came when beaten 2L into third in a 7f contest here a week ago. Good jockey up but wide draw to overcome if she is to take this event.

Broke her maiden at the sixth time of asking when winning by a short-head over 1m at Chepstow (good-to-soft) earlier this month. Appeared to appreciate the step up in distance that day and she is of interest despite a 4lb rise in the weights.

Verdict

DANDY DANCER ran well when fourth at this venue a week ago and he can get off the mark on his first attempt at this distance in what looks a competitive looking nursery contest. Top weight Today Power came within a short-head of breaking his maiden last time out and he can take second under top weight while third place can go to Now I'm A Believer who was a winner on turf on her most recent appearance.
