23rd-time lucky when running on determinedly to land a 6f Class 6 selling handicap at Thirsk (good to firm) on Monday; carries a 5lb penalty as a result; is effective on the AW, so could quite feasibly double-up.
Slipping down the weights on the back of a long losing run (no win since July 2017); 0-3 on the AW, albeit is 8lb lower than when finishing fourth of ten (beaten in excess of 5L) to Sonja Henie at Wolverhampton (7f) last month.
A fair handicapper in previous years, often saving his very best efforts for Catterick; seemingly isn't the force of old, having regularly competed in sellers and veteran handicaps this year; 0-13 on the AW; unlikely.
Running well at present, sluicing up in a Class 6 maiden handicap at Bath (5½f, good to soft) on her penultimate start; 8lb higher, and 0-10 on the AW - better than the bare result at Chelmsford latest (met persistent trouble); chance.
Kyllachy gelding who cost 52,000gns as a juvenile; has been exposed as a moderate performer on the track; was very easy in the market when running poorly on handicap debut here (7f) a fortnight ago; blinkers replace cheekpieces.
12-race maiden; has fallen a whopping 16lb in the weights since making his handicap debut (nursery) at Yarmouth (6f) last August; considered unlikely to be making a splash in this low-grade contest.
Displayed a game attitude when beating Patrick by a short-head over C&D last month, with the draw/ground and run of the race all transpiring to scupper her chances of a follow up success at Catterick (7f, soft) latest; EW possible off 3lb higher.
7lb lower than when making all to score over C&D in February; has lacked any recent sparkle for the Galashiels trainer Katie Scott; evidently is dangerously handicapped; couldn't be totally dismissed in such a moderate contest.
Beat Lucky Lodge by a nose when winning off this mark over C&D last December, and also went close on a couple of occasions at Nottingham (6f) in June; no show at Hamilton latest (with heavy ground seemingly not a valid excuse).
In there pitching until very late, only run down by Miss Icon over 7f at Chepstow (good to firm) three starts back; modest since, and the statistics show that she's an infrequent winner (1-27 on AW); first 6f start since October 2018.
Edged out today's rival Tadaany by a nose when breaking the maiden at Nottingham (6f, good) in June; below-par on his last couple of starts, dwelling at the start at Catterick (last of 11) 45-days ago; no issues with the AW.
Course specialist (all four wins have come here); sits 3lb below his last winning mark, but hasn't shown a great deal of recent positive form; will revive eventually; worth a market check now sporting a new headgear combination.
Orientor colt; half-brother to three winners, most notably Braes Of Lochalsh (1m5f-1m7f); his racing career to date has been punctuated by various absences; very lowly-weighted for handicap debut on return from a five-month absence.

Fard (13/8), Ingleby Molly (7/1), Peachey Carnehan (8/1), Groupie (9/1), Viking Way (9/1), Salmon Fishing (12/1), Tadaany (14/1), Kellington Kitty (14/1), A Hundred Echoes (16/1), Breathoffreshair (20/1), Extrasolar (22/1), One Last Hug (22/1), Rockley Point (25/1), Little Miss Kodi (33/1)
A low-grade finale where stakes are best kept to the minimum. For those prepared to speculate at significant odds, a case can be made for the attractively weighted C&D winners Rockley Point and Breathoffreshair, with the latter almost certain to revive in the weeks and months ahead. Sporting a new headgear combination (blinkers and tongue-tie), any positive market signals should be heeded in his case. Meanwhile Fard broke his duck in a selling handicap at Thirsk on Monday and merits respect under a 5lb penalty. However, having made the long journey north, an in-form KELLINGTON KITTY gets the vote for Bedfordshire trainer Mike Murphy (1-2; 50% at Newcastle).
- Kellington Kitty
- Breathoffreshair
- Fard
