1-21 since leaving France but fallen to mark 4lb lower than that win after quiet 2019 campaign largely at a higher level than this. Not ruled out although still not entirely convinced he wants this far.

Low-mileage five-year-old been hit and miss since returning from two and a half year absence this season and overall looks best avoided having been well held the last twice.

Inconsistent, but bounced back to form when a nose second over 1m4f when last seen in December. Entitled to need this run but course form solid and trip ideal.

Four-time winner (two over jumps) has made the frame the last twice over 2m on the AW off today's handicap mark. Step back in trip may suit given he often bowls along in front and certainly one of the more likely sorts here.

Not really fired since having a break with his latest effort here over 1m4f seeing him beaten 17L after a similar performance over 1m6f at Chelmsford; hard to fancy.

Once-placed maiden of 19 attempts another new trip here but latest run was particularly dismal which is a common theme.

Although only fourth of five there was improvement in his first try beyond 1m4f at Chelmsford latest where he was short of room at a key stage. Far from ruled out here now with slight step back in trip possibly ideal.

Ran decent races over shorter trips the last twice and rather one paced nature suggests him the sort who may relish an extra test of stamina. First time on this surface but not ruled out.

3L second here over 2m latest had to be considered a success for this three-year-old who had been beaten at least 20L in all previous starts over middle distances. Entitled to respect now.

Nicely bred Medicean filly but has shown precious little in three starts so far, beaten a long way on each occasion although did a little better last time. First start in a handicap over 4f further so is open to improvement.

Remains a maiden but found only one too good when second at Chelmsford latest over 2m (Doune Castle fourth) and off the same mark here she rates a leading contender for her yard who excel with three-year-old stayers.

Forecasts

Traditional Dancer (9/4), Thornton Le Clay (11/4), Land Of Winter (7/2), Doune Castle (7/2), Volcanique (5/1), Foresee (8/1), Postie (12/1), Sincerely Resdev (12/1), Bird To Love (14/1), Guaracha (20/1), Red Douglas (33/1), Zahraani (33/1), Misty Breese (50/1)

Verdict

Having been so impressive over fences last time out there is the distinct possibility that TRADITIONAL DANCER is an improved sort and he ran pretty well the last two times he was seen over 1m4f on the level which given his ability to stay 3m over fences surely wouldn't have suited as well as 1m6f will here. Three-year-olds are the dangers with Volcanique and Thornton Le Clay both shortlisted after career bests over 2m last time out.
  1. Traditional Dancer
  2. Volcanique
  3. Thornton Le Clay
