Has not been out of the first two in his last three starts. Scored at Epsom over the extended 1m trip on his penultimate outing, while on his latest run, he was second of seven over that same C&D. Up just 1lb. Leading contender.
Is 0-8 on turf but he has won on the AW. He was second of six at Beverley (1m2f) two runs ago, while on his latest appearance, he was sixth of 13 at Carlisle (1m). Not to be discounted off this mark as he is capable of a big run.
Was successful over this C&D back in May where she was on the right side of a close finish in an eight runner field. Has been unable to follow it up since in two starts, including latest at Haydock (1m). Has to be respected.
Recorded four wins on the AW earlier this year and then had success on turf at Chepstow (1m) back in May. Has been unable to add to that in three appearance since, although his performances have not been bad. Each-way claims here.
Has recorded four wins already this year, with two successes on turf. He went very close to another victory last time when he was second of 16 at Doncaster (1m) after going off as the 4/1 favourite. Has gone up 3lb. Big player.
His best form in 2019 has come on the AW where he recorded two wins at Wolverhampton earlier this year. He hasn't quite reproduced the same performances on turf as of yet. Needs to improve on this surface.
A C&D winner here, however, his form this year has been disappointing. He was seventh of 16 last time at Doncaster (1m) when he was 6L off the winner after going off at 33/1. Has to produce more.
A winner in France but since moving to the UK, he has struggled. He had just one horse behind him on his latest start in a 10 runner field at Ripon (1m). Has been eased a further 3lb but others are preferred.
Forecasts
Hammer Gun (11/8), First Response (9/2), Data Protection (5/1), Amor Fati (13/2), Destroyer (7/1), Miss Sheridan (18/1), International Law (20/1), New Look (33/1)
HAMMER GUN was just a short-head away last time over this distance at Doncaster and off just a 3lb higher mark here, he can go one place better to register his fifth success of the year. Data Protection is having a good spell at the moment around this distance so expect another strong display off just a 1lb higher mark than his recent near miss, while Miss Sheridan is a C&D winner this year and should be considered to make the frame on her return to this track.
- Hammer Gun
- Data Protection
- Miss Sheridan
