Ruler of The World half-brother to useful 1½m winner Alveena out of 1½m Listed winner Aliyfa, herself half-sister to Irish St Leger/Prix Du Cadran winner Alandi. Beaten 12L on debut at the Curragh last month but sure to improve.
War Command colt purchased for 45,000gns at the breeze-up sales in May. Slowly away on debut in a Leopardstown maiden in July. Hard to dismiss with yard going well.
Dandy Man colt a half-brother to 5 Flat winners inc Speaking Of Which, successful between 1m and 1m2f. Yard in good form over the weekend and the youngster can be expected to improve on runs at Leopardstown and the Curragh here.
Raven's Pass half-brother to 1¼m winner A Wave of The Sea. Down the field on debut in a Curragh maiden over 1m last month. May find this a tough assignment.
A number of high profile entries fell by the wayside following his 12L defeat on debut at the Curragh last month. Not one to underestimate.
Dwelt on debut in a Leopardstown 1m maiden last month before finishing fourth of seven beaten 2L. Capable of following up on promising effort.
Colt by Galileo out of a Danehill Dancer mare. Brother to the smart Beacon Rock and the 1m1f winner, Wedding Vow. Market likely to reveal expectations on debut.
Tamayuz colt, cost €70,000 as a yearling. His dam won over 1m2f and 1m3f and is a half-sister to 1m4f winner Dark Crusader. Slowly into stride, pushed along early towards rear on disappointing debut earlier this month.
Elusive City colt out of a Dixieland Band mare. Closely related to Elusive Quality and half-brother to several winners. Represents top yard and is one for the shortlist on racecourse debut.
Gelded son of Swiss Spirit out of a Sinndar mare. Over-whelmed in a couple of starts at Navan and Down Royal so far. Vast improvement needed to figure in first-time cheekpieces.
Fasnet Rock colt. Full brother to Multicultural, and is a half-brother to 1m2f two-year-old winner Prefontaine. Plenty to like about his debut run at Killarney last month and one to note in the betting as post time approaches.
Forecasts
Persia (2/1), Sacramento (9/2), Alatar (6/1), Dark Pine (6/1), Sliabh Aughty (7/1), Serpentine (10/1), Yulong Pearlisland (12/1), Crassus (14/1), Dark Voyager (25/1), Sky God (33/1), Spit It Out (100/1)
The Aidan O'Brien yard won this contest 12 months ago with Sovereign and can add to their tally here with the Galileo colt, PERSIA. Disappointing on debut, the youngster still holds an entry in the Group 2 Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes at Newmarket later this month and will need this race under his belt before lining up in late September. In a competitive renewal, Sacramento for the Joseph O'Brien yard, Dark Pine, representing Dermot Weld and the Jessica Harrington-trained Yulong Pearlisland all come here on the back of promising runs last month.
