Gelded son of Poet's Voice, has gone backwards in three runs so far, showing best form on debut over 6f. Blinkers are added here as he goes into a nursery for the first time.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-6| J: Rossa Ryan| T: R Hannon| OR:  59

Dark Angel colt, cost €250,000 as a yearling, rather disappointing having beaten just one rival in three starts. Early days, but huge improvement needed on first foray in nurseries.

Activiusb9
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: Rob Hornby| T: B J Meehan| OR:  58

Baltic King colt has been making heavy weather of things in four runs so far, very slowly away on nursery bow at Kempton last time. Capable of better based on market prominence for that run.

Camacho Man59
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-4| J: T P Queally| T: J Candlish| OR:  57

Camacho colt whose sales price rose to £38,000 at the Breeze Ups in April. Sent off big prices in three novice/maiden runs at Nottingham and Windsor over 6f. Should be capable of better before too long.

Decent pedigree and from a leading yard, but unplaced in seven starts so far. Tends to race prominently and failing to see things out at the moment.

Big Boris14
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: R Havlin| T: P D Evans| OR:  55

Thrice-raced maiden, not making any progress so far. Needs to take a dramatic step forward on this first step in a nursery. Others preferred.

Buy Nice Not Twice7
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: Thore Hammer-Hansen(5)| T: R Hannon| OR:  53
9/2
Teofilo filly, beaten wide margins in all five starts up to now. Was supported in the betting at Chelmsford over a mile last time, so presumably better things are expected.

Boston Girlp134
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: David Probert| T: E A L Dunlop| OR:  53
16/1
Zebedee filly, showed some promise in maidens over 6f and did well to close late on from rear on nursery bow over a mile at Thirsk last month. Cheekpieces added now and should be in the firing line.

Lightning Bug34

Starspangledbanner filly, couldn't improve last month when making nursery bow over a mile on the AW at Chelmsford.

Order Of Merrittb117
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-6| J: L Morris| T: Sir Mark Prescott| OR:  45
8/1
Kyllachy gelding, has finished last on all three starts over 5f/6f so far. Up in trip and sports blinkers for first nursery run but unlikely to improve enough to land the prize on this occasion.

Ohnotanotheronep15
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-6| J: William Cox(3)| T: W S Kittow| OR:  45
33/1
Improved on nursery bow over 7f at Lingfield (good to firm) sporting first-time cheekpieces 15 days ago be just over 4L fourth of seven. Camacho filly may be able to build on that run here.

Filly was regressing in her efforts prior to recent Lingfield fifth, a run that leaver her closely matched with re-opposing Ohnotanotherone. That rival may again hold sway.

Forecasts

Today Power (9/2), Buy Nice Not Twice (9/2), Max's Voice (9/2), Big Boris (7/1), Camacho Man (8/1), Order Of Merritt (8/1), Interrupted Dream (9/1), Now I'm A Believer (14/1), Son Of Prancealot (14/1), Boston Girl (16/1), Activius (20/1), Lightning Bug (25/1), Ohnotanotherone (33/1)

Verdict

Today Power cost a pretty penny and the Dark Angel colt could be an improver now going in a nursery for the first time, with a market check essential. This looks wide open, with possibilities including Ohnotanotherone, Buy Nice Not Twice, Camacho Man and Activius but preference is for BOSTON GIRL. She was slowly away on handicap bow at Thirsk and made some ground up late. With cheekpieces added now, a challenge may be forthcoming in what looks an ordinary heat.
