Set for her UK debut here after switching yards earlier this month. She was successful twice in France, with her last win coming back in November at Le Croise-Laroche (1m4½f). Best to watch on opening start in this country.

Has two wins from his 10 starts. His latest success came here over 1m4f back in May. Finished third last time at Windsor (1m3½f). Drops down 2lb in the weights. Has to be respected at this track as his best form has come here.

A C&D winner here back in April. Since then she has recorded two more victories. Has struggled in her latest two outings off her latest mark, including at Epsom (1m4f) on her most recent appearance when finishing fifth of seven. Others preferred.

Broke his maiden two starts ago at Doncaster (1m4f) when scoring in an 11 runner field by 2L. The trip was too far for him last time where he was last of four at Yarmouth over 1m6f. Should be competitive again at this distance.

Has performed very well since joining handicap company. She justified going off as the odds-on favourite last time at Chepstow (1m2f) to score in a five runner contest. Will need to carry a 5lb penalty here. One to consider.

Scored for the first time at Yarmouth (1m2f) two starts back in a nine runner field. He struggled last time off his latest mark as he was sixth of nine at Chelmsford (1m2f) on the AW. Return to turf likely to help. Can't discount.

Dual-purpose gelding who prevailed over this C&D last time in a five runner field. That was was his first outing since January last time so he is entitled to improve on it here off this 2lb higher mark. Leading contender.

Her only win was back in August 2017 at Redcar (7f). She has shown some modest form this season. Her latest outing came at Newmarket (1m4f) where she was third of four after going off as the evens favourite. Down in trip. Each-way claims.

Forecasts

Long Call (9/4), Escape The City (4/1), Maiden Voyage (9/2), Freckles (11/2), King Of The Sand (15/2), Final Rock (8/1), Trailboss (10/1), Go Fox (14/1), Ashazuri (16/1)

Verdict

LONG CALL made a winning return to the Flat last time over this C&D. It was an impressive display given it was his first run since January. Expect more from him so he is very capable of defying his 2lb rise in the weights to record another victory at this track. Freckles also comes into this race on the back of a win at this distance. She will need to find more off a 5lb penalty but can be expected to be in the mix once more, while Trailboss should enter your calculations now he returns to a more suitable trip.
  1. Long Call
  2. Freckles
  3. Trailboss
