Back to form when a ready winner over this trip at Epsom last time, has some experience of this surface when fourth over 1m here last year and despite 4lb rise, has chances of the follow-up.

C&D winner from a 9lb lower mark in June, has remained in good form since then but overall impression is that the handicapper has him about right at the moment. Usually held up for a late run, so a good pace up front would help.

Had looked very much in the grip of the handicapper until his 6l win at Yarmouth last time out, which looks a slightly suspect piece of form. Given overall profile, no good thing to follow up from 8lb higher.

Conditions probably against her at Salisbury last time, so that run best forgiven, had previously gone close at Newmarket (7f) on better ground, which gives some hope she will handle this quick surface. May have more to come.

In good form in the spring, winning at Southwell (7f) with plenty in hand but not seen out since disappointing at Doncaster in June and now has first start for a new yard. Best watched after a break.

Won three on the bounce in the winter/spring but has found life harder from higher handicap marks. Gave the impression a step back up to 7f would be in his favour at Newmarket last time, and has place chances at least here.

No win in seven starts but went awfully close to breaking his duck over C&D last time out, only beaten in the last few strides. Has run well here before too, so likes this surface, and with promise of more to come, has every chance.

Just in front of Brigham Young when the pair were 2nd/3rd here last time out, little between then again here and she has a good C&D win to her name this year too. In good form and not discounted.

Generally consistent, trip and track no problem but losing run keeps growing and he is very hard to win with. Should be thereabouts once more but one more for placepots than for win purposes.

Looks very well treated here on basis of debut second to Fox Champion (at this track, 6f) but didn't go on from that and now gets a tongue-tie after a poor run at Windsor last time. Dangerous to write off.

Not beaten far at Chepstow in May (6f) but that run stands out like a beacon among a sea of otherwise moderate efforts. Having second start for new yard here and can only be watched.

Verdict

There's little between Brigham Young and Delilah Park on their form here last time out and both have a part to play, but FABULIST can bounce back from a moderate effort at Salisbury last time when conditions were probably against her. There should be more to come from her and she's taken to come out on top. With not much pace on, Key Player could get an easy time on the front but would need a career best.
