Surprise winner on debut at Windsor but has shown that form to be no fluke with two solid efforts since. Should handle the surface and stay this extra furlong, and chances in an open little contest.
Early season winner at Thirsk but form has been most inconsistent since then, and now needs to bounce back from a last-of-14 effort at Goodwood. That's always possible with horses from this yard, but others make more appeal.
Form this season stable rather than improving, nothing wrong with his midfield finish in a competitive event at York latest but now needs this extra furlong to eke out a bit more improvement. Not discounted then, but needs more.
Looks well treated on his short-head second to York winner Owney Madden in July but two efforts since than have been well below par. However, looks to be crying out for this extra furlong, so could get back on track.
Out of his depth somewhat last time but had looked progressive before that and on pedigree, will want this seventh furlong. Could easily do better on his first start in a nursery, and one of the more interesting ones.
Well beaten at York on latest start (possibly outclassed, had plenty on at weights) and in truth, hasn't yet recaptured his early season promise. Should appreciate the surface though, and possible he could yet get back on track.
Winner at Brighton on latest start despite not really handling the track, and with the second winning easily at Bath, the form looks solid enough. Improving and if handling the surface, looks one of the more likely players today.
Has run to a similar level on all her three starts to date, although in truth a bit disappointing she couldn't do better at Windsor on latest start. Will want middle distances next year and possible we won't see the best of her until then.

Forecasts
Punchbowl Flyer (7/2), Onassis (4/1), Cheat (9/2), Written Broadcast (5/1), Born To Destroy (7/1), Old News (8/1), Top Buck (12/1), Xcelente (14/1)
A tricky little nursery to solve, with the potential for improvement from almost all of these. Old News has done little wrong and fully deserves his big weight, and a seventh furlong looks a positive for him. But PUNCHBOWL FLYER was quietly impressive when wining at Brighton as he clearly didn't handle the track that well and was still green, yet was nicely on top at the finish. He should handle the surface and is another for whom this trip should be a plus. Top Buck and Written Broadcast both hold each-way chances.
