Ran really well when going close in the Great St Wilfrid consolation event at Ripon last time, but back up 5lb for that. Still a likely player if at his best, and acts on soft.
In good form at present and rises in grade today. Scored at Yarmouth on his penultimate start and again ran well at Ffos Las last time. Conditions no problem, and not ruled out.
Goes into this 2lb lower than his last winning mark. Good effort at Newmarket in April, but well held both starts since. Bit to prove.
Went close from 2lb higher at Ripon in June, and ran well on AW last time. However, remains a maiden on turf and this is a tough race in which to re-write that stat.
Ayr winner (5½f, good to firm) in July, when 4lb lower. Has gone off the boil in recent starts, however. Could be competitive if he can revive, but has that to prove.
Well held at Ripon last month after what had been a good reappearance at Nottingham (heavy) in June. Can be in-and-out, so no surprise if he bounces back for the trainer who won this race last year.
Placed at Windsor on his last two starts (both 6f, on good/good to soft). Drops 6lb for this race because he is available for claim, which enhances his chance. Handles soft, and is a contender.
Below par on his last two outings, and has been given three months off since then. Available to be claimed here, and therefore 3lb lower than his real mark. Acts on soft and 7lb also claimed, so could be a player.
Goes well on soft and has won over C&D. Still on a mark from which he can be very competitive, and represents trainer who won this last year. Not at his best on his last two starts, but not ruled out.
Has better form on AW than on turf. Scored at Chelmsford (6f, AW) last time, and races from the same mark today as he is available to be claimed. No surprise to see him run well.
Scored here in September last year (5f, soft). Arrives on the back of good efforts at both Goodwood and Salisbury, both on slow ground, and he is not ruled out.

Danzeno (10/3), Hyperfocus (7/2), Danzan (9/2), Unabated (5/1), Alaadel (7/1), Ptarmigan Ridge (7/1), Royal Residence (15/2), Tawny Port (11/1), Ice Lord (12/1), Youkan (16/1), Desert Doctor (16/1), Royal Prospect (16/1), Northgate Lad (20/1), Gymkhana (20/1), Harome (33/1)
An open contest, with extra spice added by the conditions that allow runners available to be claimed to get in off lower than their actual BHA marks. It should probably pay to concentrate on those runners, who include the consistent Danzeno and also DANZAN, who is marginally preferred. Unabated and Ptarmigan Ridge can be added to that list, and the latter is feared, while neither Alaadel nor stablemate Tawny Port are ruled out.

- Danzeno
