Son of Invincible Spirit made a pleasing debut over this trip at Nottingham when winning well after a slow start. Largely exposed rivals in behind leave the form open to question especially under a 6lb penalty but sure to make a bold bid.
£20,000 yearling son of Due Diligence is a half-brother to five winners up to 7f including two as juveniles. Stable's 1-31 record with two-year-olds this term is persuasive towards a watching brief.
50,000gns yearling son of Elzaam is a half-brother to an Italian 9.5f winner and a poor maiden of four for George Margarson. Yard well capable with two-year-olds including first time out so market can guide (also run Hartswood).
Son of Garswood beaten just over 8L when fifth of 11 after a slow start at Carlisle last month over this trip. Ought to do better for the experience here and should be in the hunt for a place.
Mill Reef Stakes entry weakened into fifth of eight on debut at Ayr in June after racing quite greenly. Will likely do better here for the experience and after a break for further schooling so has place prospects now.
Once raced son of Mayson could only finish seventh of 11 beaten 11L on debut at Carlisle last month (Hartswood fifth) but should come on for the run as two-year-olds from this yard traditionally do; big step up needed though.
130,000gns yearling son of Society Rock is a half-brother to three winners from 6f-1m2f. Yard boast a 28 per cent strike rate here and a 27 per cent strike rate with two-year-olds so be surprising if he doesn't make a bold bid on debut.
200,000gns yearling son of Invincible Spirit (Kingman, Shalaa, Mayson, Magna Grecia sire) is the second foal out of a well bred maiden dam whose first foal was a 5f 2yo winner. From yard well capable with newcomers so highly respected,
Son of Siyouni cost €75,000 as a yearling and is the first foal out of a Listed-placed 1m 2yo winner. Yard 1-23 with two-year-olds this season so best watched barring significant market support.
Newcomer by super-sire Dubawi is the first progeny of a dam who was a 1m-12.5f winner (inc at 2/Group 2). Beautifully bred but surely need a good bit further to excel and yard yet to have a two-year-old winner in 2019.
Forecasts
Danyah (8/11), Oakenshield (11/2), Jamais Assez (15/2), Moosmee (9/1), Hartswood (12/1), Jerbourg (20/1), Tom Collins (20/1), Duesenberg (25/1), Siberian Night (25/1), Due A Win (50/1)
Although Danyah is the one to beat he wouldn't have had to be anything out of the ordinary to win the maiden he did at Nottingham (runner-up rated 78 after four starts) so a chance is taken on William Haggas' newcomer MOOSMEE. He hails from a good family with plenty of speed given both parents were two-year-old winners and Haggas' record here this season is unparalleled. Oakensfield is the other newcomer of interest for Kevin Ryan who has already had 15 two-year-old winners this season (102 runners.
