Scored for the first time since he had wind surgery last time out (attracted support) when bouncing back to form at Newton Abbot (3m2f, good). Hard to say that was strong form but he dominated the contest (with Quick N' Easy); could do so again.

Usually best fresh he disappointed on his return over C&D in July; failed to show anything more when fourth again last time behind Royale Django at Newton Abbot. On the upside he has slipped below his last winning mark; blinkers worn first-time.

Point-to-point form contained more letters than figures; outran his previous form when sixth (beaten 36L) by Royal Django last time. Attempted to give the winner a race from the front (paid for those exertions); more needed to reverse that form.

Produced his best effort for quite some time when winning at Huntingdon in March over 3m (ended long losing spell). Unsurprisingly has failed to follow up that win in three starts since; returns from a break, 8lb out of the handicap; hard to fancy.

Forecasts

Royale Django (5/4), Orchestrated (11/8), Quick N' Easy (9/2), Silver Man (5/1), The Jugopolist (33/1)

Verdict

Not the best of events with three who contested a Newton Abbot staying chase last time once again opposing each other. ROYALE DJANGO won that contest and although it didn’t look a strong contest he remains well treated on his old form if he can repeat that level of form. Orchestrated was fourth in that race with Quick N’ Easy who paid for his early exertions in trying to go with the winner back in sixth. Both face difficult tasks in trying to reverse the form although the former of the duo has slipped in the weights. Silver Man would on his old form have a leading chance but he’s on the wane these days and not the most consistent either.
  1. Royale Django
  2. Orchestrated
  3. Quick N' Easy
