Winless since her two-year-old success for Richard Hughes but there have been hints that she's getting close handicap wise of late including C&D third of five latest. Again a place is a fair possibility.
Won twice earlier this season and second three times since off today's mark including at Bath last time out when beaten just ½L. Front-runner has the right man aboard to get the fractions right and will as usual make a bold bid from the front.
Still a maiden (11 starts) but has been knocking on the door with three seconds this season over 6f including last two starts at Lingfield and here last month. No reason he won't again be in the thick of things here.
Long-standing maiden arrives in decent form having finished second the last twice at Lingfield and Windsor over 5f. Should make her presence felt here too with C&D form figures of 3 4.
14-race maiden was third of four here over 6f penultimately before second of five at Bath over 5½f albeit beaten 8L by easy winner. Might yet sneak a race of this nature but others appeal more.
Dual winner in claiming/selling company last year but struggled in five starts since joining this stable. Blinkers latest saw another dismal effort at Ffos Las and there are few reasons for confidence in her now.
Drops back in trip after being unable to threaten in two starts so far this term at Lingfield (6f; standard) & Epsom (7f; good). Others have far more pressing claims, and this six-race maiden is hard to fancy.
23-maiden beaten at least 13L in all seven starts since joining this yard. Impossible to fancy.
Forecasts
Thegreyvtrain (2/1), Urban Highway (7/2), Pink Iceburg (7/2), Starchant (9/2), Zaula (9/1), Solesmes (20/1), Illegitimate Gains (40/1), Not So Shy (66/1)
In a race lacking strength in depth the vote goes to THEGREYVTRAIN who is one of four of these to arrive on the back of a second placed finish. The fact she has been second off this mark of 62 on three occasions adds credence to the argument that she is well capable off it. The biggest danger may prove to be Urban Highway who wasn't beaten far here over 6f latest although fellow maiden Starchant also looks capable.
- Thegreyvtrain
- Urban Highway
- Starchant
