Won twice over hurdles for Paul Nicholls but lost his way and out of form in that sphere since joining his current yard. Respectable effort on his return to the Flat at Ffos Las at the start of this month but not certain to dish out a repeat dose.
A Dubawi colt out of a Storm cat mare, his breeding is more impressive than the bare form of his two starts to date. There was some promise on his debut run but he was eased when his chance had gone at Pontefract latest. Now has a bit to prove.

110,000 gns yearling who is a brother to high-class sprinter Delizia; and his dam, as an unraced half-sister to Kings Stand winner Dominio, is also an influence for speed. The market can guide on his belated debut over this trip.

Shown some promise in all three previous starts and is certainly bred to be effective at this sort of trip. Has to be a concern that he couldn't justify strong support last time but not much to find to bounce back at this level.

22,000 gns yearling who is a half-brother to 6f winner Mississippi Miss; out of a 6f-1m winning mare who coped well with an artificial racing surface. Will probably come on for the experience.

A son of Dubawi out of a Hard Spun mare; he's a half-brother to a winner over 1m-1m2f and has solid performers to boost his appeal deeper in his pedigree. Trainer doing well with newcomers and this looks a good bit of placement for his introduction.
€22,000 two-year-old who is a half-brother to winners between 1m and 1m4f; debut run was a poor effort, though, and he already has improvement to find.

Beat just one rival to the finish line on debut at Nottingham (over an extended mile on soft ground) at the start of August. Needs to show a lot more interest this time and not hard to overlook if the betting market isn't on his side.
A half-brother to 6f-7f winner Secret Glance and decent sprint handicapper Look Here's Al; his dam is a half-sister to Cammidge Trophy (Listed) winner Now Look Here. Stable quite and makes limited appeal over this trip on racecourse bow.

Well beaten in both starts so far and and not hard to omit from the betting plans on the evidence available. Another whose breeding is more in keeping with sprints and plenty to find already.

A daughter of Derby winner Sir Percy out of a Noverre mare, the filly appeals on pedigree but well held in both previous starts. Ran on near the finish last time and possible a longer trip will suit when she goes handicapping.

Stablemate of Lethal Look but jockey bookings suggest this daughter of Albaasil might be the more attractive proposition. Even so, she too is likely to need a bit more time and will be of more interest when she has experience to draw upon.

Verdict

It would be no surprise to see the well-bred GREAT ESTEEM make a winning debut in a race where not many of the others make much appeal from a punting perspective. The selection has plenty of winners in his pedigree and is bred to be effective at this sort of trip. The yard's impressive strike-rate with runners of his type can be further boosted if he's primed and ready at the first time of asking. Casanova is probably better than he showed last time out and merits serious consideration if he attracts interest in the betting market; as does Alwisaam, even though his yard tends to take a very patient approach with debutantes. Reaction Time appeals on pedigree too.

  2. Casanova
  3. Alwisaam
