Made decent strides over fences last summer before the handicapper appeared to catch up with him. Given a wind op after disappointing in the spring he's gone off too hard in recent chase efforts; lower hurdles mark, less aggressive tactics needed.

Useful maiden on the Flat his hurdling form has yet to match that level of performance but he may still be unexposed in this sphere. Going into handicaps may show him in a much better light although he's not been let in lightly for his debut.

Appears to have lost the winning habit having not been seen in the winner's enclosure for over two years. First run over hurdles since February 2018, off a 9lb lower mark now; makes his debut for new connections; limited appeal for now.

Nicely handicapped on the basis of his bumper win over C&D but very lightly-raced since and looks to have had his share of problems. Unseated his rider early on when last seen; now hooded (first-time), would need market support to be of interest.

Hard to be positive about his prospects with his three starts since returning from wind surgery all being of a very modest nature. Failed to jump with any fluency last time and makes little appeal despite a further reduction to his mark.

Placed on five occasions since she was successful at Leicester last December off a 7lb lower mark. Runner-up on her last four starts she's given no indication that anything is wrong with her attitude; sure, to be involved at the finish again.

Struggled on the majority of starts for this yard with his form in handicaps being well below-par. Shaped as if amiss last time on the back of a wind op (reportedly struck into, lost shoe); more needed to convince that he's a backable proposition.

Took an age to find the winning formula over hurdle scoring here last September over 2m2f to finally lay that hoodoo. In action on the AW and over hurdles since then; shaped well enough last time back from a break; still 10lb above last winning mark.

First-time tongue toe looked the catalyst to her first success travelling well to win over C&D (beat Chilli Romance), looked to have plenty in hand. Up 5lb for that win which looks lenient given the manner of the victory; bold bid to follow up.

Age: 3|  Weight: 10-8| J: David Noonan| T: N J Hawke| OR:  106

Flat maiden at up to 1m when trained in Ireland; shown some promise when fourth and second over C&D (juvenile hurdles). Now goes handicapping for the first time (should settle better in this sphere); hood on for the first-time, interesting sort.

Age: 4|  Weight: 10-7| J: Charlie Hammond(3)| T: S-J Davies| OR:  87

Won on his Flat debut but never won again on the level despite running some sound enough races for Kevin Ryan. Shown very little over hurdles for this yard lacking the requisite stamina to get involved.

Ladies Dancing9
Age: 13|  Weight: 10-3| J: Page Fuller(3)| T: C J Down| OR:  82| CD
10/1
Veteran hurdler who got back to winning ways over C&D in June (made all) off 1lb lower mark (today's rider on board). Tasks since have been a little stiffer and this looks another test that will find him out, others appeal more.

Modest maiden hurdler who has already been through a variety of yards. Did show some ability remains last time but still looked laboured; has to cope with being 12lb out of the handicap and that gives him a very tough task.

Forecasts

Floral Queen (7/2), Chilli Romance (4/1), Rocket Ronnie (11/2), Repetitio (6/1), Tikkinthebox (8/1), Clearly Capable (8/1), Pokari (10/1), Ladies Dancing (10/1), Indian Harbour (14/1), Salazar (20/1), Chance It (22/1), Black Noah (22/1), Outrath (25/1), Templier (33/1)

Verdict

The consistency shown by Chilli Romance deserves some reward but connections may be banging their heads against the wall again here as despite the fact that she’s 5lb better off with FLORAL QUEEN that doesn’t look as though its enough to turn the form around. Colin Tizzard’s mare looked rejuvenated by the first-time tongue-tie and provided that equipment works again she looks well weighted to follow up having won with plenty in hand. Clearly Capable has shown good form around here but has to cope with a shorter trip despite having gone well fresh before. 3yo Repetitio is interesting but his age group face a tough task in open company. Black Noah and Pokari should be watched in the market.
