Daughter of Sea The Moon, left debut effort well behind when winning 7f heavy-ground Roscommon maiden by 6L in June. Not the easiest task on nursery bow and that form has taken a few knocks.
Promise in three maidens, particularly over 7f at Leopardstown last month, Footstepsinthesand colt should be suited by the extra distance on this nursery bow.
War Command colt cost €70,000, has tended to race a bit freely so far in maidens but showing some promise. Ought to be more to come from him now handicapping.
Run well enough in three maidens, including runner-up effort at Bellewstown (7½f, good) early last month, and could well have more to give now switched to this sphere.
Has shown useful form in three nursery starts, including a win at Sligo (5½f, good) early this month and fair effort over 6f at the Curragh (soft) last week. Looks as though he will get a mile and will have leading claims if doing so.
Has ground to make up with In From The Cold on Galway run but weighted to get very close. That was her best effort so far from four, may be more to come.
War Command colt with little to recommend from three starts in maidens and must take a big jump forward now going into nurseries.
Plenty of promise show in maidens at Limerick over 7f and likely paid price for cutting out the running last time at Bellewstown. Should be more to come now handicapping and no surprise to see her in the mix.
Colt's three maiden starts have come over 6f/7f, big prices in the main and left with plenty to work on now moving into nurseries.
Anjaal filly, well held three maiden runs up to 7f, may improve for longer trip now sent handicapping but would need to do so considerably to feature.
Dawn Approach filly, showed some glimpses of talent in second of three maiden runs but poor either side. Not a massive shock if she's seen to best effect now going into nurseries.
Well held thus far in maidens but represents the red-hot Ger Lyons team and may well have more to come now. Watch betting.
Born To Sea filly, acquired for relatively small money and hasn't beaten many rivals in four starts. Easier to look elsewhere for now.
Alhebayeb gelding, beaten wide-margins in all three maiden runs and doesn't appeal as the sort to improve enough to figure prominently here.
Forecasts
In From The Cold (5/1), Sea The Dawn (5/1), Kingslayer (7/1), Calidus Mirabilis (7/1), Bellsinthewood (8/1), Troop Commander (9/1), At War (10/1), Eclector (12/1), Borelli (12/1), Princess Mayson (16/1), Rythmic Melody (20/1), In A Bubble (20/1), Rolling Wave (33/1), Londonofficecallin (50/1)
The form of Sea The Dawn's Roscommon success in June has been bruised a number of times and she might just struggle off top-weight here. Sligo winner IN FROM THE COLD ran a big race at the Curragh last time in his follow-up attempt and, with mark unchanged now, is likely to go close once more. Kingslayer, Borelli and Bellsinthewood are amongst the possible improvers lurking.
- In From The Cold
- Kingslayer
- Bellsinthewood
