6f Newbury winner a beaten fav at Haydock upped to 7f latest although soft ground rather than the trip probably the cause of that. Bred to stay this trip now but looks one of the weaker representatives of the Hannon quartet.

6f Catterick winner was third over 7f at Newmarket latest although only beaten ¾L after leading and racing a little keenly. Bred to get 1m and will if he settles; leading claims here.

Knocked on the door a couple of times and thirds over 7f and 7½f have suggested 1m will suit this 270,000gns yearling well. Handicap debut today and looks stable's best hope which is very notable given they have four of the seven runners.

Unplaced in novice company but finished fourth a couple of times so seen enough to suggest switch to handicaps now may help. First time over 1m but bred for middle distances so should bring about improvement.

Showed promise in novice races without making the frame but could never get involved on handicap debut in warm Goodwood nursery last time out. This a little softer so hopefully can fare better.

Remains a maiden after seven runs, of which her last three have come in handicap company. Third of 12 at Kempton latest beaten 2L over 7f suggested 1m may now suit and she looks sure to be on the premises.

Walkonby14
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-9| J: F Norton| T: M R Channon| OR:  61

Handicap debutante took advantage of big drop in class into a seller at Newmarket latest where she battled to success over 7f. Bred to stay at least middle distances so 1m should suit well now and has claims here.

Forecasts

Incinerator (6/4), Always Fearless (7/2), Walkonby (4/1), Pitcher (9/1), Bacchalot (10/1), Bad Rabbit (10/1), Fantom Force (16/1)

Verdict

Richard Hannon runs four here so deciphering his quartet is key and the suspicion is that ALWAYS FEARLESS is the stable number one given Sean Levey is aboard and this expensive King Power filly can get off the mark now switched to handicaps for the first time. In a typically competitive nursery Incinerator who has run well the last twice and Walkonby who should improve plenty for an extra 1f rate highest among the dangers.
  1. Always Fearless
  2. Incinerator
  3. Walkonby
