£45,000 yearling by Foostepsinthesand who knew his job when making a winning debut at Ascot (6f) last month, and both of those behind to have run since have won. Holds a Group 1 entry, and of obvious interest at this level.
Brocklesby winner who has improved in defeat after a break the last twice, running his best race when third in the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood last time. Will appreciate the return to 6f, and shortlisted now.
Best effort to date when when 3½L second of 11 to Ascension in a 6f novice at Salisbury (soft) last time, and entitled to improve further, but has plenty to find with the best of these, and passed over on balance.
Placed a couple of times to date, but beaten off marks in the 70s in nurseries the last twice, and makes limited appeal in a race of this nature. Visored for the first time here.
Eased off after being hampered in the Richmond Stakes at Goodwood last time, and better judged on previous win in a 6f novice at Windsor. Not without a chance if building on that at the second attempt.
Son of Excelebration whose price rose from 13,000gns as a foal to £38,000 as a yearling. Shaped with a degree of promise when fourth on debut at Newbury in April, but absent since, and looks to have a mountain to climb in this company.
Off the mark for connections at the fourth time of asking when landing a 6f Curragh nursery last month, and surely not himself when finishing last at Naas subsequently. Claims if bouncing back from that disappointment.
Speedily bred, but needed every yard of 7f to win a Chepstow novice on debut a week ago (third threw the race away), so the drop back in trip here is a worry. On the other hand, he is open to plenty of improvement, so can't be dismissed lightly.
Progressing by the run, and off the mark when coming with a strong late run to score at Chester last time. Will do better still, but may already need a stiffer test given he was initially outpaced there.
Speedy sort, but stays 6f, and improved on form of 5f Lingfield novice win when a 3½L sixth to Liberty Beach in the Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood last time. Not ruled out back up in trip.
Improved on form of his debut success when third to Liberty Beach in Listed 5f race at Sandown in July, and not disgraced when seventh of 10 to A'ali in Group 2 Prix Robert Papin at Deauville last time. Tries 6f for first time here.
Quite a useful sort, and similar form when making the frame on all four starts to date. Possible that cheekpieces will eke out more, but others appear to have more pressing claims.
Bolted up by 9L on his nursery debut over 7f at Lingfield, but that came off a lowly mark of 67, and he's been beaten on merit in similar events off higher marks since. This trip sharp enough, and he's not sure to improve for the fitting of a visor.
Best effort so far when second of 12 to Harry Love in a 6f novice event at Thirsk in July, but that form isn't good enough to see him competitive here, and he ran poorly last time.
Not one of his yard's stars, but improved to win a 6f maiden at Doncaster on his penultimate start. Outbattled at skinny odds on nursery debut at Newcastle (7f) last time, and work to do on that showing, for all the return to 6f will suit.
Has run to a fairly useful level on all four starts, his best effort when 1L second of 14 to Governor of Punjab in a 6f nursery at Goodwood last time. Has something to find on form, but unlikely to be disgraced.
Hasn't progressed since a promising debut at Windsor (5f) albeit running respectably on all starts. Gelded since finishing third at Salisbury in June, but needs to have improved markedly in the interim.
Unplaced when favourite on first two starts, but much improved when making all to land a 5f Tipperary maiden last time in this headgear combination. Bred to be at least as effective at 6f, so is one to consider now she has clicked.
Clearly held in some regard, and sent off favourite for her last two starts, but reeled in after making most at Leicester (6f, heavy) last time, and others have stronger credentials.
Won a 5f novice at Catterick last month, but very disappointing when stepped up to 6f for nursery debut at Newmarket last time, and hard to fancy her despite the fitting of a tongue tie for the first time.
Speedy, and seemed to excel herself when mid-field in the Queen Mary Stakes on penultimate start. Well held in three other starts, though, and makes minimal appeal, for all a hood may benefit her.

This race has been completely dominated by Richard Fahey, William Haggas and Richard Hannon in the last decade, and while the former's Show Me Show Me has a strong chance on form, it's the Hannon-trained MUMS TIPPLE, with a plethora of big race entries, who gets the nod having made a winning debut in a traditionally strong maiden at Ascot. Piece of Paradise finally delivered on home promise at Tipperary last time in headgear, and looks best of the rest.
