Got off to a winning start on the AW at Newcastle (1m2f) on his debut over 1m2f. Was a little disappointing on his opening appearance on turf last time at Newmarket (1m2f) when finishing seventh of nine. May be worth another chance on this surface.
Showed very little on his debut at Newbury (1m2f) on his debut. Was much better last time though at Ffos Las (1m4f) when third of nine. Back down in trip which may help his chances. Each-way claims on third outing.
Was a long way behind in last place of seven on his opening appearance in France at Le Croise-Laroche over 1m1f on heavy ground. This is his first appearance since moving to the UK. Best to watch here.
Was much better on his second start where he was fifth of eight at Pontefract over 1m2f. Needs to take another step forward here to be in the mix though but he remains open to improvement at this trip.
Frozen Power gelding who cost 1,000 guineas a foal. His dam was unraced. He is a half-brother to Rainbow Rose who won over 5f and See The Storm who was successful over 6f. It would be a surprise if he was in the mix on his debut.
Has produced two promising performances so far from his two starts. Stepped up to 1m4f last time at Newmarket where he finished third of five, coming home just 1L away from the winner. Leading player here.
Sea The Stars colt. He is a half-brother to Brookruner who won at trips up to 1m1½f in France and Take These Charts who prevailed up to 1m in the US. Interesting newcomer. Keep an eye out for any market support before the race.
Could only finish 10th of 17 on his opening start earlier this year at Doncaster where he was never in the contest after going off at 100/1. Needs to take a huge step forward here to be competitive. Others appeal more.
Was fourth of six on his debut at Nottingham (1m2f) earlier this month. He showed his inexperience in that opening contest, therefore, he needs to settle better this time. Others stand out more.
Came home at the very rear of the field in a nine-runner contest at Salisbury on her debut at this trip last month after going off at 100/1. Likely to struggle here on the evidence of that opening start.
Appeared for the first time earlier this month at Doncaster over this distance where she was eighth of 13 as a 66/1 shot. She weakened from very early into the contest. Much more will be needed to make the frame here.
Improved on her modest debut on the AW at Kempton (1m) to finish third of nine on the Polytrack at Lingfield (1m) last time. First appearance on turf here and is stepping up in trip. One to watch.
Was fifth of nine over this C&D on her debut earlier month. Made a slow start to the race on her opening outing where she was under pressure from the halfway point. Much more needed on her second start. Others preferred.
Sea The Moon filly who cost €52,000 as a yearling. She is a half-sister to Exec Lady who won over this distance and Headline News who was successful up to 1m4f. Big performance can be expected on her debut.
Maxios filly whose dam was a winner in Hungary over 7f and 1m and is a half-sister to Vert de Grece who prevailed over the 1m trip as a two-year-old. Best to watch on his opening start of his career.
Has not shown much promise in her two starts so far on the track. She was eighth of 12 over this C&D on her debut, while on her latest start, she came home sixth of nine at Ffos Las (1m4f). Needs to improve.
Forecasts
Passion And Glory (8/11), El Misk (3/1), Dobrianka (6/1), Sea It My Way (16/1), Shauyra (18/1), Cochise (20/1), Jeweller (25/1), Star Guide (40/1), Capla Huntress (50/1), Viking Prince (66/1), Zest Of Zambia (100/1), Gibraltarian (100/1), Torbellino (100/1), Devizes (100/1), Binmar's Sexy Lexy (100/1), Olaf (100/1)
PASSION AND GLORY has gone really close on both of his two runs so far and this looks to be a much easier assignment than he has faced so far so take him to break his maiden at the third attempt. El Misk is already a winner on the AW but his opening turf performance was disappointing. He is likely to be much better on his second appearance on this surface so expect much more, while Shauyra is the most interesting newcomer in the race on paper and it wouldn't be a big surprise to see a strong opening display from the filly.
- Passion And Glory
- El Misk
- Shauyra
