18-race maiden over both hurdles and fences. Chance on fair third at Cork last month but hasn't shown a great deal on last two outings, most recently in a fair race at the Galway Festival when beaten 29 lengths.

Dead-heated last time out in Bangor handicap chase so comes here in form but hasn't won over hurdles since May 2017. Rider is 2-5 for trainer, including win last time so may not be far away trying to exploit lower hurdles mark.

Just one place from nine starts and pulled up before last on soft ground at Cartmel latest when well beaten. Shaped with some promise when fifth at Hexham previous start but doesn't look obviously well in on handicap bow.

Close third on Flat at Wolverhampton in May in 1m4f h'cap and had a spin recently so should be fit. Accident prone over hurdles but held every chance over C&D in June 2018 when unseated rider 2 out off 7lb higher mark. Not out of it.

Four-time winner in France last year. Joined current yard in November and has shown signs of ability off much higher marks. Fourth over C&D last time off 2lb higher. Could be dangerously handicapped if able to reproduce French form.

Only win in 20 starts came in provinicial French 1m4f event back in 2015. Well supported on third hurdles start at Perth last time. Challenging for lead on run-in when swerved and unseated rider. Fair chance of making amends on handicap bow.

Veteran whose last win came at Cheltenham in 2017 off mark of 120. Shown little since returning from long absence and runs now following second wind surgery with first-time visor added. Well weighted on old form but has to show he retains ability.

Battled to half-length win at Fakenham in April and well held third at Huntingdon in May. Returns from summer break and worth noting for any market interest.

Lexington Lawp30
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-4| J: Tom Cannon| T: A King| OR:  102

Ran fair race back in 2017 on handicap hurdle bow when fourth at Taunton but only one run over timber since when pulled up at Kempton last November. Won Thirsk 1m4f claimer for top jumps yard penultimate start and should be thereabouts .

24-race dual purpose maiden who shaped with some promise last time on debut for current yard when holding every chance at Perth 2 out before tiring. Eased 2lb but obviously doesn't find winning at all easy.

1-14 over timber but has eight career wins in total. Surprise 80/1 third over 1m2f at Newcastle last time out so seems in good form. Hasn't run over hurdles since last November and still a great deal higher than only hurdles success.

Forecasts

Desert Point (3/1), Artiste Celebre (11/2), Salto Chisco (6/1), Bridey's Lettuce (6/1), Sid Hoodie (7/1), Lexington Law (7/1), Horst (8/1), Motcomb Street (8/1), Bobble Emerald (17/2), My Renaissance (10/1), Joycetick (25/1), Cryogenics (33/1)

Verdict

DESERT POINT would have gone very close at Perth last time but for running out through a wing on the extended run-in. Well backed that day, he has a fair chance to recoup losses on his handicap debut. Salto Chisco shared the spoils over fences recently and bids to continue his run back over timber. He should be thereabouts, as too should Lexington Law, Joycetick and Sid Hoodie. Horst is very frustrating but will surely come good one day, while Artiste Celebre is open to some improvement on second start for her new handler.
