Perhaps a shade disappointing that he faded into fifth at Chepstow latest (6f) after twice finishing third earlier. Breeding suggests extra 1f will suit and this 77-rated colt sets a decent standard for less exposed rivals.

Gutaifan gelding stayed on into a never nearer fifth of 10 at Lingfield beaten 9L a fortnight ago and with progress likely he will hope to improve that finishing position.

21,000gns yearling son of Gutaifan out of a Galileo mare. Yard unleashed a 14/1 newcomer with only second two-year-old runner this campaign at Yarmouth a couple of weeks back.

Yard's newcomers invariably in need of debut experience so sixth of 13 at Doncaster 13 days ago was promising enough. Beaten 8½L there so step up needed quite large but surely will improve to some degree.
10,000gns yearling purchase by Tamayuz is the first progeny of an unraced dam. Yard notoriously slow to build up their two-year-olds so best watched here.

Failed to beat anything home on debut here in June but stayed on into a never nearer sixth of 15 at Lingfield beaten just over 11L. One to watch with a view to handicapping.

Canford Cliffs colt was never involved when a 14L ninth of 10 over 7½f at Lingfield and showed little more when beaten 15L into sixth of 7 at Notts over 1m½f at 100/1 latest. Makes no appeal.

2,000gns foal yet to make any impression and latest last of 14 at Chelmsford makes it easy to scratch him off any shortlist.

£4,000 two-year-old purchase by Harbour Watch beaten 9L into sixth of nine on debut at Musselburgh last month over this trip. Should come forward but whether it will be enough to make the frame is doubtful.

Three fourths and a fifth so far have resulted in a rating of 70 but based on her well held fourth latest in a handicap that will likely be the very limit of what she achieves this season. Can use experience to gain place-money.

War Command half-sister to six winners between 7f and 1m4f and looked likely to appreciate this longer trip when a keeping on sixth of 12 over 6f at Windsor last month. Could be the surprise package now.
€10,000 Pour Moi filly beaten 13L when ninth of 12 at Wolverhampton on debut and is best watched again with a view to future middle distance tries.

Toronado filly with plenty of stamina on her dam's side looked likely to want a trip when a 7L 10th of 11 on debut at Newcastle. Can surely only improve but doubtful she gets competitive.

Forecasts

Swinley Forest (6/4), Hashtagmetoo (3/1), Ventura Star (5/1), Glen Esk (10/1), Take Me To The Sky (14/1), Webuyanyhorse (14/1), Aldrich Bay (14/1), Ten Thousand Stars (16/1), Jack Ryan (20/1), Disarming (20/1), Early Morning Mist (50/1), Fair Warning (66/1), Bad Attitude (100/1)

Verdict

In a very ordinary contest with few appealing newcomers this represents a really good opportunity for the twice placed SWINLEY FOREST to get off the mark even taking into account his flop last time out. The other experienced performer Hashtagmetoo doesn't have much to find with the selection and should again be involved. There are a host of once raced contenders who can and must improve and of them the well-bred Disarming appeals most.
  1. Swinley Forest
  2. Hashtagmetoo
  3. Disarming
