Was in good form at the start of the season with two wins coming from his opening three outings. Has been inconsistent since then but he went really close last time at Windsor (1m) when third of five, beaten by just ½L. Each-way claims here.

Completed a hat-trick of successes at the back end of 2018. Has yet to come close to scoring so far this season, including latest at Nottingham (1m½f) when 6¾L off the winner in third place of five. Others appeal more.

Lightly-raced filly who has had just the five runs so far, with two victories coming from those starts. She was successful at Salisbury (7f) last month and then was beaten as the 9/4 favourite last time at Newmarket (7f). One for shortlist.

Broke his maiden on his third start at Ffos Las (7f). Was second of nine on his return to action this year at Goodwood (7f). Needs to bounce back from disappointing effort at Doncaster (1m) on his latest outing.

Was successful here over 7f last month where he was staying on strongly in the closing stages to suggest this 1m trip will suit him. Gone up 5lb to a career high mark so he may need to find a little more but one for the shortlist.

Is 0-6 on turf but has scored twice on the AW. Was second of six last time at Wolverhampton (1m½f) on the AW. This is his first run for his new yard. Best to watch for now on his return to this surface.

Scored on the AW at Wolverhampton (1m½f) last year but has been unable to record her opening success on turf yet. Went close last time at Newmarket (1m) when third of five, beaten by just ¾L. One to consider.

Was fancied to go well last time at Brighton (1m) when going off as the 9/4 favourite but he had to settle for second place of the 12 runners, beaten by 2L. Has only gone up 1lb so another strong run can be expected.

Scored for the second time this season on his latest start at Windsor over this distance. Has gone up 3lb for that success but he is open to further improvement. Leading contender as he looks to follow up.

He scored over this C&D two starts back but failed to follow it up at Bath (1m) last time where he was disappointing in finishing fourth of five. Needs to find a little more off this mark but not to be discounted.

Forecasts

Medieval (7/2), Daddy's Daughter (7/2), Marshal Dan (6/1), Canal Rocks (7/1), Baba Ghanouj (7/1), Wufud (8/1), Gin Palace (12/1), Mr Tyrrell (12/1), Jackpot Royale (25/1), Los Camachos (40/1)

Verdict

GIN PALACE has been in excellent form this season since switching to turf and he can land his third win of the campaign here. He has gone up 3lb for his latest success at Windsor but that is unlikely to be enough to stop him from putting his nose in front once again. Medieval has been running consistently well without victory this season and he can be expected to once again be in the mix here, while Marshal Dan will need to produce a career best if he is to follow up from his success here over 7f but expect him to be in the frame at the very least.
  1. Gin Palace
  2. Medieval
  3. Marshal Dan
