Course winner in the past who has been in good form this season without winning. Latest second in competitive Galway handicap (1m) puts her right in the mix off a 2lb higher mark.
Rewarded for consistent efforts this season when landing 1m Gowran Park handicap by 3L. Step up to 1m2f should pose no issue but 6lb rise in the weights is a concern.
Not beaten far by smart filly on debut and showed the necessary improvement required with impressive success in Gowran Park maiden (1m, good to firm) in May. Not seen since but unexposed. Shortlisted.
Improving sort. Backed up winning reappearance at Cork with likeable success in 1m2f Roscommon handicap last month. 4lb rise to contend with but yard are in flying form and should give another good account.
Has failed to progress as hoped this season and couldn't make the most of the drop in class when 7L third in 1m Killarney contest on latest start. Given a high enough mark for handicap debut and has a break to overcome.
Struggled in handicaps since easy victory at Navan last season and has been tailed off in last two starts, including 6L seventh at Killarney (1m3f) last time out. Opposable until dropping back to a reasonable mark.
On a losing run at the moment but hasn't been disgraced in open handicap company this season. 6L defeat at Galway (1m) suggests more is needed but has place claims at best.
Improving at middle distance trips, registering a career-best last time out with 4L success in Naas handicap (1m2f, good) on latest start. Raised a meaty 9lb for that but respected nonetheless.
Performs better on AW than on turf but put up a disappointing effort when last seen at Dundalk (1m4f, standard) in January. Opposable off the back of a break.
Consistent in weaker handicaps without winning. Took a backward step with 6L fourth at Fairyhouse (1m4f, good) in July when failing to stay. A bit to prove now.
Appreciated the drop back to 1m last time out when gutsy second in competitive Galway handicap at the start of the month. 3lb rise seems harsh and unproven at this distance. Others preferred.
Forecasts
Heliac (7/2), Innamorare (4/1), Winiata (5/1), Cuban Surfer (13/2), Minnie Haha (7/1), Passing Trade (9/1), Anya Ylina (10/1), Royal Canford (12/1), Divine Approach (20/1), Lady De Vesci (28/1), Harriet's Force (33/1)
A handicap which could throw up a Group-race performer in time, the unexposed ANYA YLINA is the preference to make a winning handicap debut. The winner of her first race has gone on to Listed success in Britain and the classy nature of her victory last time out suggests she has more to offer in company higher than this. Heliac is on the crest of a wave at the moment and is also dangerously handicapped for a combination who are firing winners in at the moment, while Innamorare has escaped a significant penalty for her honourable effort at Galway.
- Anya Ylina
- Heliac
- Innamorare
