Born To Sea gelding. Never a factor when 10L sixth in 5f Naas maiden on debut. Form of that race has been franked but plenty more needed to be competitive in this.

Outran his outsider status on debut with respectable fourth on debut at Naas (6f, good) despite veering right at a crucial stage. Entitled to progress from that effort and is one to consider.

Stepped up from poor debut effort to finish creditable fifth at Fairyhouse (6f, good to firm) in May. Form of that race hasn't worked out and has since been gelded. Best watched on return from break.

Alhebayeb colt. Inexperience told and was never a factor with 25L last in 7f Galway maiden last month. Rapid progression needed to be competitive.

Showed likeable progression from debut effort with 2L third in 7f maiden at this track last month. Drop back to 6f not sure to suit but sets the form standard. Shortlisted.

€40,000 yearling but unsold as a juvenile. First progeny of a Dam who showed very little on the track but is a half-sister to multiple winner The Cheka. Stable has been flying with two-year-olds this season. Worth a market check.

Dandy Man colt, €16,000 yearling. Dam was a maiden on the track but out of 1m2f winner Eva's Request. Pedigree offers little optimism and best watched for now.

Offered promise on debut when fourth of 14 in 7f maiden contest at this track on debut. Slow start was costly that day and the drop back 6f isn't sure to suit but enters calculations.

Regressive. Didn't improve as expected with 11L sixth in Naas two-year-old contest on latest start and that form looks modest at best. Opposable.

Improving twice-raced filly. Kept on well to finish third when dropped back to 6f at Fairyhouse (good) last month. Open to further progression and best work will likely come towards the finish.

Didn't get the run of the race on debut at the Curragh (7f, heavy) but shaped well to finish fifth. That looked to be a minor event though and yard yet to really fire with juveniles this season.

Shaped as if she didn't stay in 7f maiden at this course on debut when finishing 11L sixth. Improvement needed from that effort but yard have been in good form with juveniles this season.

Showed some progression but shaped as if 7f was too far at this stage when seventh in maiden contest at this track last month. More needed in this race and cheekpieces are turned to for the first time.

Verdict

MOONDROP is one of the more experienced horses heading into this contest and took the eye with a rapid finish at Fairyhouse. The filly would've finished closer if she wasn't short of room at a crucial stage and had to switch right. If she gets a smooth run she could prove hard to beat for a trainer who is coming into form. Camachita kept on well despite missing the break here last time and could be dangerous given her trainer is now off the cold-list, while Kingslayer has shaped as if there is more natural progression to come, albeit probably over further.
