A maiden of 10 starts now, with no improvement shown here last time over a longer trip. Drops in distance but is hard to enthuse about.
A half-brother to 1m3½f-2m1f winner St Lawrence Gap. Dam, 7f/1m winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 1m Starlarks. Newcomer finds a decent opportunity and worth betting check.
Hints of ability in three novice starts, including over similar trip at Windsor most recently and now goes handicapping with a chance to improve and go close.
Could only manage tenth of 12 in handicap at Newmarket (6f, good to firm; 33-1) eight days ago, leaving the filly with plenty improvement to find.
Cost 125,000 gns as a yearling and a daughter of Oasis Dream, but has a regressive look to her form after five runs and major improvement is needed.
Beaten a combined tally of more than 50L in two runs so far Bath (5½f, good to firm) and Salisbury (7f, firm); she can only be watched for now.
16-race maiden, has threatened a few times on the AW here and went very close over 5f at Windsor last summer in novice company. On a fair mark should she find her best stuff.
Front-running maiden who ran up to her best when sixth at Redcar last week but needs to build on that to get off the mark and not hard to look elsewhere (Engaged at Brighton on Friday evening).
Forecasts
Kodiak Attack (8/11), Starchant (9/2), Tigerinmytank (5/1), Excelinthejungle (7/1), Miss President (12/1), Diamond Cara (16/1), More Salutes (20/1), Mother Brown (20/1)
Not an inspiring cast to close proceedings but KODIAK ATTACK should have leading claims of sending punters home happy. He made the frame at Windsor last time and finds a nice opening for this handicap debut. Any money for the newcomer Excelinthejungle would be noted in a race that won't take much winning while long-standing maiden Starchant will not find many better chances to have a crack at a prize.
- Kodiak Attack
- Excelinthejungle
- Starchant
