Oasis Dream half-brother to 6f winner Gloriux out of a half-sister to smart 6f winner Blessington. Cost 50,000 gns as a yearling, although that looks small change next to some of his rivals.
€460,000 son of Sea The Stars out of a winning half-sister to Australian Group 1 winner He's Your Man (raced as I'm Your Man in France/UK). Lacks big-race entries, but of interest based on pedigree/sales price.
Sea The Stars half-brother to useful 1m winner On The Line out of a half-sister to Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes winner Mythical Girl. Yard's newcomers often need a run, but this one make plenty of appeal on pedigree, so not easily discounted.
Kyllachy half-brother to 1m3½f winner Voluminous out of a full-sister to 1000 Guineas runner-up Spacious and Canadian Grade 2 winner Dimension. Already gelded, which tempers confidence, but merits a market check for a yard which can ready one.
By Kodiac out of a maiden half-sister to 1¼m winner Antiquities and 7f-1½m Londinium, both useful, from the family of Dubai World Cup winner Street Cry. Cost 100,000 gns as a yearling, and one to note if the market speaks for him.
Son of Starspangledbanner whose sales price rose to 200,000 gns this year. Half-brother to useful winners Empire Line (6f/7f) and Commander Grigio (6f), so should win races, but yard's strike-rate with juveniles is poor in recent seasons.
Battle of Marathon half-brother to moderate maiden Ce De Nullis out of a 2-y-o 1m winner. Just a modest pedigree, but in excellent hands, and sales price went up markedly from yearling to two-year-old. Market useful.
Lope de Vega half-brother to several winners, from the family of Prix Vermeille/Prix Ganay winner Aquarelliste. Trainer rarely rushes his youngsters, but did win this race a few years ago, and this colt holds a Derby entry.
Sea The Stars colt out of a disappointing maiden from a prolific Aga Khan family. Sales price rose markedly to 1,000,000 gns last year, and fact he's entered in the Champagne Stakes next month suggests he's showing the right signs.
Forecasts
Volkan Star (4/5), Jellystone (9/2), Baptism (6/1), Red Missile (10/1), Vindicate (16/1), Many A Star (16/1), Afro Blue (20/1), Cepheus (25/1), Debt Of Honour (40/1)
Hard to be adamant without market clues given these are all newcomers, but VOLKAN STAR must have done something to see connections pay 1,000,000 gns for him, and he's the only one of these with a Group entry in the coming weeks. Baptism is another expensive purchase in excellent hands, and is shortlisted.. Cepheus may need the run, but makes more appeal than most on pedigree, so needs respect.
