Won three races as a juvenile and ran well in a couple of handicaps on return this season but seems to have lost his way since. Looks vulernable back up in trip and more exposed than most.

Put up some big performances as a juvenile and got his head back in front at Newmarket earlier in the campaign. Met trouble in running at Royal Ascot last time out and not out of this back down in trip.

Bayroot21
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-4| J: Andrea Atzeni| T: R Varian| OR:  97| D

A winner on debut at Kempton and produced a good third behind a subsequent winner at Newmarket last time out. Interesting contender if the drop in trip yields some improvement.

Arrives here bidding for a hat-trick after a comfortable success at Newmarket on handicap debut. 5lb rise looks fair enough and this well bred sort could have more to give.

Made it three wins from four starts at Yarmouth last time out and that form looks all the better with the winner landing a decent handicap at Newmarket since. 5lb rise could underestimate him.

Wolverhampton handicap winner when off the mark at the eighth attempt and not beaten far next time at Brighton. Put up a respectable effort in Listed company last time out in France but more needed to defy this handicap mark.

Novice winner at Chelmsford in September but yet to win in 10 turf starts. Best effort came over C&D earlier in the campaign but hasn't built on that since.

Maiden winner at Newbury on second start and hinted at a return to form at Doncaster last time out when third of 11. Dropped 2lb and not without an each-way squeak, though is obviously tougher.

Has won two of his five starts so far this year and had looked progressive prior to a very disappointing effort when a short priced favourite at Doncaster last time out. Dropped 1lb and may do better back in trip here.

Won two novice events at Chelmsford when trained by Richard Hughes but seemingly lost his way since. Well beaten in two runs for this yard including turf debut last time out and has plenty to find on form.

Has won three of his last six starts but signs the handicapper has caught up with him on the evidence of his last two runs. Back in trip but others preferred.

In the form of her life and only narrowly denied here earlier in the week when bidding for a fourth win in the space of five starts. Better off at the weights here and may have even more to give back down in trip here.

Marhaba Milliar (11/4), Land Of Legends (9/2), Warning Fire (9/2), Bayroot (6/1), Pogo (10/1), Hero Hero (12/1), Blown By Wind (14/1), Jack's Point (16/1), Artistic Rifles (16/1), Fox Leicester (18/1), Breath Of Air (20/1), Fintas (33/1), Adelante (40/1)

Verdict

There's no stopping John Gosden this week and he may be able to land this event with MARHABA MILLIAR who had the form of his Yarmouth success franked by the runner-up subsequently and looks feasibly handicapped as a result. Warning Fire looks interesting after her excellent run here earlier in the week. Pogo isn't one to rule out and he was better than the bare result at Ascot last time out.
  1. Marhaba Milliar
  2. Warning Fire
  3. Pogo
