Still without a win in five Flat starts on turf with the filly disappointing on her latest start as beaten favourite in a Navan handicap last month. Worth a market check in first-time cheekpieces.

Three-year-old Galileo colt, best run of three came over 1m2f at Roscommon last month when second. Didn't appear to relish drop to 7f at Fairyhouse last month. Not easily ruled out in first-time cheekpieces.

Verdict

The Godolphin filly MATER MATUTA won in a style that suggested there was plenty more to come following her victory in a Ballinrobe maiden last month. The Jim Bolger-trained three-year-old can scupper an unprecedented hat-trick of wins at this years festival for the gallant One Cool Poet who won here on Tuesday and Thursday. Sharp Focus third of 17 here on Tuesday, winner last time out Next Stop Broadway and King Pellinor for Aidan O'Brien are all worthy of further consideration.
  1. Mater Matuta
  2. King Pellinor
  3. One Cool Poet
