Won three handicap at this trip in 2017 but drew a blank last year. Solid effort at Doncaster in March on return but was well beaten favourite at Wetherby then tailed off last time out. Well handicapped but out of form.
Forecast conditions not in his favour and connections will be hoping for plenty of rain. Two reasonable efforts this season and has run well over course and distance in the past. Chances.
Has struggled to get going this year and noticably slow to stride in last two appearances. On a handy mark at present but current form suggests a little bit of caution.
Needs to put a poor run last time out at Newmarket behind him. Had previously won well at Haydock on heavy ground. Not harshly treated by the handicapper and has a chance especially if the rains come.
Recent form comments of 'always behind' 'never a factor' and 'never dangerous' tells a story of the current form of this gelding. Has ability and well handicapped now but perhaps one to be wary of.
Another who needs to put a poor run last time out behind him; had previously been running well in defeat most notably at York and Wetherby. Chance on best of his form.
C&D winner has finished well beaten in five starts so far this year and finds himself off a mark 11lb lower than for his most recent victory as a result.
Has been running well in defeat including over this course and distance. Has been upped in the weights as a consequence but holds every chance on track he enjoys racing at.
Has been running some fair races in defeat since scoring at Southwell in March. Back to that mark again and it would not be a surprise to see him in the shake-up.
C&D winner recorded a third career success when winning over an extended 1m at Hamilton (good) last month. Has been running some good races in defeat of late and definitely one for the shortlist.
Fairly impressive when winning over course and distance but failed to follow up last time out despite avoiding a penalty for that win. Up 5lbs here but every chance if putting poor effort last time behind him.

PUDDING CHARE was disappointing last time out over course and distance but if that run can be excused then he holds every chance based on his previous progressive form. Lucky Violet comes into the race in a little bit of form and deserves to win a race based on her consistency. She may give the selection most to do while the form of Chinese Spirit warrants closer inspection. He has been running well in defeat off late and wins races in his turn.
