Goes well here, and gained a second course win over this distance in May (Low Profile second). Tailed off at York and a touch below par over 1m2f here last time. High enough in the weights and proving inconsistent.
Formerly with Roger Charlton for whom he won over 1m6f at Wetherby last year. Ran close to that level when second to Champagne Rules over this C&D, however his other three runs this year have been poor. Hard to predict at present.
Has strong course form with both her wins coming here, one over this distance and off a 1lb higher mark. Disappointed behind Champagne Rules but much better the last twice. Capable of being involved.
Below his best in three starts this year and still 1lb higher than sole winning mark. That came in a lower grade and despite his stable winning the last two renewals of this race, others look more likely.
Showed little in three runs in Germany but left that readily behind with two comfortable wins over 1m3f at Hamilton. Up another 8lb but the extra test will only help and he should have plenty of progress still to come. Rates the one to beat.
Zoffany filly has shown moderate form in three starts to date at long odds. Eye-catching jockey booking on handicap debut and while some improvement is required, market support would prove interesting.
Cityscape filly has been well held while running to a similar level of form in three starts to date. Big improvement required off this opening mark on handicap debut.
Three of four career wins have come here but it's now over four years since the last of them. Mark has plummeted in the process but hard to be confident in on current form.
Forecasts
King And Queen (1/2), Sempre Presto (11/2), Breathable (15/2), Mousebird (8/1), Low Profile (12/1), Champagne Rules (16/1), Vintage Rose (25/1), Correggio (33/1)
KING AND QUEEN has made a flying start since arriving in Britain and the manner in which he's disposed of his opposition suggests it may be a bit longer before the handicapper catches up with him. Sempre Presto has looked as though she's running back into form and particularly likes this track. The opening mark of Mousebird is workable if she can find improvement on handicap debut.
- King And Queen
- Sempre Presto
- Mousebird
