Not cheap at €100,000 as a yearling, third foal; half-brother to 7f-1m1f Irish winner Waikuku and plenty of encouragement to be taken from the pedigree. Yard 13% strike rate with their 2yos here, and this one of interest.

Puchased for 46,000gns as a foal, then as a £55,000 yearling, first foal. Dam an unraced half-sister to 1m2f Group 1 winner Floriot (in Italy), slightly concerning to see him gelded for debut but will no doubt give it his best shot.

$90,000 yearling, fifth foal; dam US 6.5f-1m turf winner and a half-sister to 1m 2yo Group 1 winner Kingsbarns. Suitable test for debut and yard are 10% with their 2yos at Sandown. Market likely the best guide as to chance.
Starspangledbanner gelding who is a half-brother to multiple two-year-old winner Cuppatee. Penny was dropping with him late on debut and he will known more here. Looks a tough contest however, so will need much more.

€35,000 as a foal, price rising to 65,000gns as a yearling. Half-brother to 6 winners including the useful Kings Warrior and will no doubt want further in time. Yard just 4-56 with their 2yos here though, so on this occasion, may be best watched.

€60,000 foal, £110,000 yearling, closely related to 7f AW winner Angelic Air and a half-brother to staying winner Fledged. Likely to want further in time but yard can ready them first time out and have a good strike rate, so of interest today.

First foal; dam 6f winner out of a 7f winner that was closely related to 6f 2yo Group 1 winner Damson. Plenty of encouragement to be taken from his pedigree and yard have an excellent 20% strike rate with their 2yos here. Chances on debut.
85,000gns yearling, first foal; dam 6f-9f winner, and a half-sister to 5f Listed winner Haddaf. Mix of speed and stamina in the pedigree, yard 19% strike rate with their 2yos here and one to note in the market.

Forecasts

Star Of Wells (13/8), Unresolved (9/2), No Show (5/1), It's Good To Laugh (7/1), Kameko (15/2), Mephisto (12/1), Jack Ruby (14/1), Kentucky Hardboot (16/1)

Verdict

Some useful looking sorts on paper here and as ever, the market will prove most informative. At this stage, preference is for NO SHOW, who will almost certainly want further given his pedigree but the yard can have them ready for their debuts and he is likely to know his job. Star Of Wells, Kameko and Unresolved all make plenty of appeal and support for any of them needs noting.
  1. No Show
  2. Star Of Wells
  3. Unresolved
